We all know the scenario. Player unhappy, player sits out voluntary OTA's, player sits out mini camp. Player demands trade.

Now the holdout is affecting the players back account. Player shows up on day 5, kisses and makes up with coach. Team waives fines. Player joins team mates on field, apoligizes and swears allegance to team.

Seen it a hundred times in the past (Ochocinco comes immediatley to mind). The player will continue to kick and scream for a trade, calling out the origanization. And at this point what has it cost the player? NOTHING. He is still getting paid, he has not been fined, he is not facing any discipline. He has lost nothing.

Then, when he skips training camp days and NOW it starts costing HIM money, I assure you he will have a change of heart.

So I am willing to bet that AH will kick and scream all the way up until he starts getting fined. Then he will have an "epiphany" and report to camp. Just sit back and watch.
Hate to say "I told you so". But now that AH has stated that he will be at camp, its just a matter of time before the rest pans out.

About how he will apologize to the fans and his team mates, and will become Shannahans new "favorite son", he will adapt and "embrace" his new role yada yada yada.

Until a player puts his money where his mouth is and buys out his contract, trade demands are just hot air.

Well then why did you waste the time to do just that..? Kinda easy to be a sorry Wednesday afternoon QB after a tough loss.

Especially when it means absolutely nothing. This is Fat Al blowing more hot smoke (buying time) don't fool yourself or be so foolish.

I'm sure they want his Fat ass outta there just as bad as he wants out. At the right price=give the money back.

Really, how many times have disgruntled players gotten their way? I would hope most of us had assumed he'd show sooner or later unless another foolish team offered up a decent trade offer.

AH and his team placed a bett that the Skins would fold. Shanny and Bruce called his bluff and he lost. It's better to lose 10k rather than 21mil which would be at stake.

This is a life lesson for AH and I'm glad this time we have a strong enough coaching/front office staff that didn't panic and didn't immediatly give in to his demands.

I really hope the coaching staff and players give him hell in training camp. It's Boot Camp now ya Fat Bitch!!

Well i can only hope your scenario is right. This D is alot better with a committed albert haynesworth. he is all about money. if he doesnt show up to TC he starts to open up a can of worms and helps the skins build their case. He will lose significant money if he skips the entire TC.

but let me play the i told you so game to. haynesworth will be limited or not participating at all in drills and workouts. he will show up, say im here, then do nothing.

i also believe Haynesworth will strain his buttcheck the second he is on the skins grounds and considered doing team activities. if not his buttcheck for symbolic reasons, then his hammy.

i hope your right jack.

i concur. AH and his agent took a 32 mil dolar gamble. if they are right, they get 32 mil for 13 months then get to sign a new 5 yr 50 mil contract with a new team. If they are wrong, he gets roughly 42 mil in guaranteed money plus salary for 4 seasons.

if this was vinny before the draft, he would have traded AH and his 32 mil for a 3rd rounder. if this was vinny after teh first mandatory was missed, he would have been so flustered and consumed with not knowing what to do with haynesworth that he couldnt focus time and energy towards other team needs like making the brown trade.

I'm thinking that he'll be out of here prior to the start of training camp. I just can't envision this management team wanting him anywhere near Redskins Park.

I'm sure the Redskins want to find a way to recoup some of the bonus money they paid him and they just might depending on whether or not they can work with another team and AH to structure something that works for all parties. For example, the Skins might take minimal compensation for AH if another team agrees with AH to redo his contract, pay him a $5M signing bonus, and give him a raise. Then, he could pay back half of the $21M bonus without actually losing anything.

But I'm not ruling out the possibility that AH may still be on the roster and in attendance at training camp. If the Skins can't find a way to get back at least a significant portion of that bonus money, they just might put up with having him on the team. After all, the man can play football when he wants to.

But kiss and make up? Nah. That ain't happening. It'll be one of those hate/hate business relationships between Shanahan and AH.

Guys I traveled a month or two in to the future to attend Skins training camp and took a picture of Albert on the first day. Looks like he's in much better shape then last year.
