One of the best things about trading him or cutting him might just be that we wouldn't have to see "Fatal Bert" in any more posts

I cannot emphasize that enough. Really, it is not clever, it is not funny, it is simply stupid. warpaint 06-18-2010, 07:48 PM "Fatal Bert" -- Dumbest nickname ever. I cannot emphasize that enough. Agreed just like the Mcfanboy article it didnt shed any light at all that we havn't discussed here. warpaint 06-18-2010, 07:52 PM Did the FO really put a NO Haynesworth Q&A out to the team and media? GoSkins! 06-19-2010, 09:35 AM Since we already paid him most of his money, could we just go ahead and put him on the bench for the next three years and effectively end the money making part of his career? Make him a backup. If he gets pissed at any time and stops reporting, we could then have a case to recoup the bonus money. He seems like enough of a hot head to play right into that. I know alot of people are saying this, but I really dont like the idea. Having a guy like this on the team is a constant distraction and the media just loves bullsh*t like this situation. Id say trading for a solid player and maybe late round pick would be best case scenario. The player we get would most likely be upset as well and probably over not having new contract. If we do are research and add a quality guy, Id say go for it. If we could get like a 2nd and 4th or 5th round pick next year, Id go for that too. Just a straight release would be incredibly stooooopid. Thank god Vinny and Danny arent running this team anymore. Id go ahead rank this up there with one of their worst moves. ethat001 06-19-2010, 12:01 PM The rumors start... ESPN: Albert Haynesworth Headed To Seattle Seahawks AUTHOR: Andrew Auger | IN: Seahawks | COMMENTS: 2 Comments If you visit the NFL page on ESPN, the headline is there: “Haynesworth Headed To Seahawks” Plenty of speculation has centered around the Seahawks being a suitor for the disgruntled defensive tackle. There are no sources confirming a deal is in place, just a headline, calling it how I see it. The LenDale White release all started with a headline and no sufficient evidence to immediately support it. Something could be updated within the hour just like it was then; insider is generally diligent in updating the news wire. If this deal does indeed go down, it means they are likely out of the running for Bills running back Marshawn Lynch if there was even a chance they could get him in the first place. Regardless of your opinion on how Haynesworth has whined about playing nose tackle in a 3-4 after being payed $30 million for a season; he is still a game changing top five defensive tackle who would come to the Seahawks with a ridiculously reasonable $5.3 million salary over the next three seasons. If he dons the blue and green next year, be content, embrace it, and say hello to the best player on the Seahawks roster. RememberRFK 06-19-2010, 12:15 PM Mr Allen has the upper hand when it comes to Fatal Bert. The team holds his contract, rights and disposition. Whatever the Skins elect to do will be just fine with me. Fatal Bert should be worried, the Skins orginization can do whatever they want to him! I'm simply lovin it! Oh, and joe... go mow your own backyard.
