I agree

Actually now I've had a change of heart on Dansby. Based on this chat session he seems like a pretty good guy. Though at the same time I stick to my statement that we wouldn't have the money or desire to go after him.

If I were his teammate, I would ask for a trade. There's no way you can win with a guy like that on your team. I would feel like he's the highest paid player in the NFL, and that he alone is supposed to be at everything before everyone else, and have the most accountability. No disrespect to the player on your team who is getting that much, but a lot of guys would go above and beyond to get a contract like that. Personally, if they were to pay me that much, I would go outside and help set the field up before practice!

You mean Dockett right?

It's funny reading his twitter because he doesn't hold back at all, kind of vulgar

then he's like Oh come check out my free youth football camp haha

These are the teams running a 4-3 this year. Giants, Eagles, Raiders, Seahawks, Rams, Bengals, Lions, Vikings, Texans, Colts, Jaguars, Titans, Falcons, Panthers, Saints, Bucs.

If he is to be traded this what he is looking at. As long as he isnt traded in the division its fine with me. He needs to buy his way out first. If not, give him a Gatorade bucket to sit on cuz he doesnt deserve to sit with the rest of the players.

I still think I'd hold on to him for as long as possible simply to either recoup the money spent or make him miserable. After that I'd look into trading him to

Rams
Lions
Jaguars
Raiders
Bucs

I would put serious thought into the Eagles only to try and get back our 2nd round pick next yr.

Report: Haynesworth will show up for training camp
Posted by Mike Florio on June 16, 2010 2:46 PM ET
Despite his absence from a mandatory minicamp, recalcitrant Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth reportedly will show up for training camp when it opens on July 29.

If, of course, he's still on the team.

The report comes from Chris Russell of 106.7 The Fan, who cites an unnamed NFL source.

But Haynesworth won't be showing up because he's finally seen the light. Instead, Russell reports that Haynesworth hopes to avoid potential litigation with the team, which would have a better argument when it comes to trying to get money back from the player if he doesn't show up for training camp.

As we've separately heard, Haynesworth's advisers believe that his only consequence for failing to show up for the mandatory minicamp is a fine in the neighborhood of $10,000.

So if/when he shows up, he may be acting like another player from another NFC East team five years ago.

We can only hope that Haynesworth won't eventually be doing shirtless sit-ups in his driveway.

Umm,

#1- T.O didn't refuse to show up, Reid told him to stay home as punishment.
#2- It's my understanding AH can be fined $10,000 for each day he doesn't show up. Although $30,000 is chump change for not showing up at the 3 day mandatory camp when he was just given 21 mill April 1st.

Why do people always try to lump T.O. into every bad apple category? I think people have well over stated T.O.'s being a cancer issue.

I am very disappointed in AH; he just is not making good decisions.

He does not understand the concept of being a member of a TEAM. He is either getting bad advice from his agent or he is not very bright. He obviously over values his worth. He is not a man of strong moral character.

I am disappointed that he does not care for this Organization, its great members, and its very proud history in a manner that most fans here at the WP most certainly do.

AH remarks remind me of the immature character in the movie PRIVATE BENJAMIN ... I remember a scene where she is walking off punishment duty in the rain and complains that this is not the Army she signed up for ... the recruiter broke promises made to her.

Fletcher's comments are right on the mark. It will be interesting to see how management deals with this situation ... it will send a message to the rest of the team.

Anyone catch this gem of a blog?

INSIDE THE CAP with J.I. Halsell: Under the Cap: The Redskins Finally Leverage the Uncapped Year (http://insidethecap.blogspot.com/2010/03/redskins-finally-leverage-uncapped-year.html)

Basically, BA converted the Option Bonus to a Signing Bonus earlier this year (presumably to avoid future cap charges for Big Al). In doing so, the $21M now becomes available for forfeiture if Haynesworth defaults on his contract, whereas it was untouchable as an option bonus.

Al's agent now looks like a moron if their plan was to hold out all along. Seems pretty clear that if Haynesworth doesn't show, or gets himself suspended, he will forfeit all or much of the $21M.

This makes me feel more confident that Allen and Shanny foresaw this issue and planned for its contingency. These guys look smarter every day.

Who really gives two shits about BO (Ya think Reid had good reason to tell him to stay home!), it was more about Fat POS Al exclude the last two sentences. And by the way he's been in the "bad apple category" everywhere he's been like FAT BOY well because he's been a F*ckin bad apple that happens to be unemployed for a reason.

^^ Are you sure that's true? It says it's a signing bonus that's not prorated b/c its voidable at the players option. If it's not prorated, I don't think the club can reclaim a portion of it.

I agree with except the eagle trade there is no way i want to see this monster twice a year. Granted he is POS but he can cause some major damage giving the chance.
