SmootSmack 06-16-2010, 11:25 AM I'm sure he'll be there for training camp though, and actually wouldn't even surprise me if he shows up tomorrow Lotus 06-16-2010, 11:28 AM We could trade him to the Saints but that might make the world champs even better. It would be great to have Jammal Brown, though. We could also trade him to the Rams for OT Trautwein, S Atogwe, and maybe a draft pick. Then AH could play in his beloved 4-3 while never again sniffing the playoffs. over the mountain 06-16-2010, 11:29 AM 1) Do you really think AH would be holding out if we were running a 4-3 and he was being used in the way he wanted to be used? 2) Do you really think the plan from the start was to come here, collect a ton of money up front and then force a trade the very next year? That's pretty far-fetched and there are no official reports, legitimate sources, questionable sources, or even rumors alleging that this was the master plan all along. Its a conspiracy theory with absolutely no supporting evidence... at best (or worst?) 1) Yes, i do believe that if there was no coaching change and no D scheme change, he would proffer another excuse for being unhappy. He and his agent had to know that zorn was not going to be the coach after last season. He and his agent had to know that blache was old and had to be brided out of retirement by gibbs, then begged to stay on when gibbs left. Everyone knew zorn and blache were coaching their last year. AH knew it. 2) Yes. The skins made an unprecedented contract offer that opened the window for AH to collect an unprecendented 32 mil for 13 months of work. What scenario would make AH the most money when he was a FA last year: he turned down more money (in a traditional pay as you play contract) with the bucs b/c why? the skins and blache were so damn attractive to him? no. it was the freakin 32 mil dangled in front of him for 13 months of work. I feel like my conspiracy theory is right. Has been all along. Is so far fetched that a player like AH (who loves money and not football, had big time debts) would try to take 32 mil that was stupidly put in front of him with no incentive for him to play after the 13 months. The writing has been on the wall. Ask yourself what scenario would get AH the most money last year. Answer: take the skins 32 million, after the april 21 mil check clears, get a trade and sign a new, traditional pay as you play contract. BHA - do you honestly think AH had any intention of playing for the skins in 2010 for 4-5 mil, in 2011 for 4-5 mil and 2012 for 5-6 mil? He is 28, he is in his prime years. No way AH ever had any intention of playing the next 3 years of his prime for 4-6 mil. No freakin way. to think otherwise is really giving too much credit to the integrity of AH. SmootSmack 06-16-2010, 11:30 AM Do you see a trade for Jammal Brown as our best potential solution to the situation with AH? Honestly have no idea. I'd actually want more than just Brown for Haynesworth. Brown and a pick maybe. Or Brown and Lance Moore (get some of our recent WRs out of here if that happens). over the mountain 06-16-2010, 11:33 AM We should just trade him to New Orleans for Jammal brown and put Trent over on the right side. ...and I bought this guys jersey over orakpo's....:cussing::doh: yeah no bs. my girl got me an authentic skins jersey of him for my bday last year in august. i was praying for an orakpo or fletcher. i had a tough time doing a fake smile and "ohh hey haynesworth.. great, thanks hun". SmootSmack 06-16-2010, 11:33 AM I think when Maake was able to practice well ahead of schedule that made a huge difference. Because now Shanahan and Haslett can say ok, we've got our starter, Haynesworth you move down the depth chart until you're ready to come to camp and be a part of the team. Finally, the offseason's got some meat to it! hooskins 06-16-2010, 11:36 AM Sorry to repeat what others have already mentioned but ef Fat Al. Screw him and his freaking red boat. I hope the Skins try everything in their capacity to screw him over. Deactivate him and keep him on the team. What an asswipe. I defended this clown and I will eat crow. I was wrong. He did have all the right in the world to not show up to anything else, but this whole game he is playing is ARHSG:LJG;lkjasdglkh;sdg. Screw this guy. I hate him. I dont hate a lot. I HATE him. Slingin Sammy 33 06-16-2010, 11:41 AM Report: Haynesworth Will Be At Mini Camp To Avoid Fine - SB Nation DC (http://dc.sbnation.com/2010/6/16/1520817/Albert-Haynesworth-trade-mini-camp-fine) Nothing like a fat-ass malcontent on the field. Bury the SOB on the bench unless he returns his signing bonus. As a matter of fact, I put him on the PUP list or whatever so he's not in the locker room or near the team. If he returns the SB or a large portion of it, trade him to a $hit team for whatever you can get for him. He was a FA, we didn't give any picks/players up to get him. I guess the "bitter girlfriends" had a point. This guy will be a MAJOR locker room cancer. warpaint 06-16-2010, 11:50 AM So is he showing up? If he shows up to save 10grand that will show how much money drives him. What an f-ing waste of space. SmootSmack 06-16-2010, 11:54 AM He plans on showing up for training camp, not mini-camp. That's his plan at least. But his plan until recently was also to show up for mini-camp, so who the hell really knows what's going on. |
