WOW, guess this was a story after all...unfortunately. Well my gut instinct was right, Phat Albert is an overpaid, piece of sh*t..... who never deserve to wear the Redskins uniform. The Curse of Vinny bits us again.

We have to get value, a starting Tackle would be ideal or combo of drafts picks which includes at least a 2nd rounder. We MUST get value or just fine his worthless ass every f*ckin day....

I knew this was another bad free agent signing, thank god Danny Boy and Vinny are not running the show anymore

That saying would apply if Reid and JLC were just making stuff up and one of their fabricated stories just happened to be true. However, it doesnt jive with reality. Reality is that JLC had actual SOURCES telling him Haynesworth was unhappy and wanted to be traded. Now, the majority here chose to stick their head in the sand and foolishly pretend that these were just rumors and the sources were crap. They foolishly chose to believe what Haynesworth, whose teammates refer to him as an "actor," said instead - even though anyone with any sense at all recognized that Haynesworth would be saying the exact same things whether or not he wanted to be traded or not. Hopefully, in the future, people will learn from this and not discredit JLC simply because they don't like what he has to say.

See I hate people like you that like to rub the "I told you so" in people's faces. Great, you get a cookie, but this whole situation is still bad for the team period. Maybe these news made your day and you get to boast how right you were, still this does nothing to improve the Redskins.

On a related note, I'm torn on what the team should do. Part of me wants this guy out of here and like someone said, cut our losses and get rid of him (personally, I wish this could have happened before the draft). We don't need this f'ing circus around us, because that's what it will be.

But I would appreciate him getting fined everyday he's not at camp and well into the regular season.

Here are my thoughts:

- We always complain that athletes are lying when they say it's not about the money. In a strange way, AH is showing that right now for him it's really not about the money

- Back in April, JLC was insistent that the Skins were actively trying to trade him...which wasn't the case

- It's wrong I know, but I'd be more upset if I expected more from AH. But this is what he does when he's not on the field. He's always complaining about something

- Been speaking to someone the last several months about AH. This person is closer to AH than Schefter to Shanahan, than Chip to Dale; and this person has been pretty consistently telling me things are blown out of proportion...until this morning when said person told me "The real issue isn't the 3-4, though he still has doubts about it. He's been told he's been bumped down the depth chart and he's upset the Redskins are making him show up before everyone else today. But he'll come around. Albert always needs to make his point before agreeing to anything"...I'm not sure how long Shanahan and Allen will give him to come around quite honestly

- I'm going to try to find some time to talk to some Saints folks today to see if there's any new development on the Jammal Brown front

- Now, we finally have a story

I don't know much about Brown but isn't he injury prone?? Plus doesn't he play LT?

Sorry to possibly rehash - but I didn't see this clearly by skimming the posts above:

How much exactly does Haynesworth lose if he doesn't show up to camp? And does anyone know if there's language in the contract to have him repay bonuses or net pay if he continues to refuse to play?

Ya know, I was never a huge fan of the Hayneswoth signing, but I wasn't particularly disappointed with his play last season. He definitely helped improve the effectiveness of the D Line last season, but I still never really liked the signing. I support the guys on the field regardless though, and I wasn't disappointed in his play at all.

That said, I think he would have been somewhat of a waste in the 3-4 anyway. He could have probably been a dominant DE, but he'd have been totally useless as a NT being paid $100 mil.

I say deal this guy for a 2nd round pick and try to forget he ever happened. If possible, I'd like to trade the F'er to a team who runs the 3-4, I think that would be hilarious.

I will say, though, that I can kinda understand where he's coming from. He signed with this team thinking that he'd be able to do what he did in Tennessee, but that opportunity has been taken away kinda. Not that he would know, since he hasn't participated in anything, but moving to the 3-4 would have definitely made him less important, so I can see where he'd be miffed over the switch, also, I can see where he's coming from in saying that he wouldn't have signed here if we were running the 3-4 then. I think that argument's fair.

Bottom line, I think he's a douche, but I'm not that mad at him. I already knew he was a douche and didn't think they should sign him. On top of that, I thought it was a mistake to sign him to that ridiculous contract, sorry to say it, but the Skins are kind of getting what they deserve for investing in this guy. Get rid of him and try to put the Cerrato era behind us, now that you look at the AH situation he kinda seems like a microcosm of that whole damn period. Just trade him and move on, please.

Haynesworth for Mankins and picks.

If he wants traded, make him pay back part or all of his signing bonus before granting his wish.

If he won't, start fining him every day he misses.

This is Shanny's first big test here. I think AH will find out who's in charge.

Let Haynesworth rot at the end of the bench.

I would never trade him, bench him until his contract expires.

There should be a section at Fed-Ex dedicated to booing and belittling Haynesworth where the end of the bench is.

Why waste an active roster spot?

Put him on IR. Mentally unable to play. I'd say practice squad but then anyone could claim him for free.

ive said it before, ill say it again.

AH is all about the money, The man is a mercenary.

He and his agent came here in hopes of collecting 32 million over 13 months, then try to force a trade so that he can get a new, more traditional "pay as you play" contract.

Its all about money.

The remainder of his contract with the skins is nominal at 4 to 6 mill a year for the next 3 years.

Did anyone honestly think AH would play for 4-6 mil during his prime years?
Did you think he would honor the fact that he got paid 21 mil in april?

It is and always has been about money.

He and his agent thought he got get a windfall for 1 year of work then sign a new contract with a new team.

I know that after last season, bruce and AH placed an option in AH's contract that, after this year, he could opt out of the contract and become a FA if he paid back something around 18.3 mil of the 21 mil he was paid.

If AH is unhappy about the scheme and not the money, he can opt out next year and be a free agent. Of course, he would have to give up all that money and admit defeat of his plan to get paid then pull a fast one out of town.

Has anyone posted what fines the skins can leverage against AH for every day he misses mandatories? I know it was in an article within the past week.

Allen should just trade AH to another team that runs the 3-4 just to piss him off.
