WP: Haynesworth will skip minicamp, wants trade

I don't think that AH would've ever come here had he known how we'd use him even last year.


....yet he took the money he signed the contract.What if every player on the defense acted this way,maybe ,just maybe the coachs know more then he does.

Here are my thoughts:

- We always complain that athletes are lying when they say it's not about the money. In a strange way, AH is showing that right now for him it's really not about the money

- Back in April, JLC was insistent that the Skins were actively trying to trade him...which wasn't the case

- It's wrong I know, but I'd be more upset if I expected more from AH. But this is what he does when he's not on the field. He's always complaining about something

- Been speaking to someone the last several months about AH. This person is closer to AH than Schefter to Shanahan, than Chip to Dale; and this person has been pretty consistently telling me things are blown out of proportion...until this morning when said person told me "The real issue isn't the 3-4, though he still has doubts about it. He's been told he's been bumped down the depth chart and he's upset the Redskins are making him show up before everyone else today. But he'll come around. Albert always needs to make his point before agreeing to anything"...I'm not sure how long Shanahan and Allen will give him to come around quite honestly

- I'm going to try to find some time to talk to some Saints folks today to see if there's any new development on the Jammal Brown front

- Now, we finally have a story

LOL. That would solve a few problems in Washington. Get him off the Redskins, and take some heat off of Obama and Co.

And give the money they just paid him to the gulf residents who will have no way of making a living for a long time. Man, what a joke this guy has turned out to be. I regret being one of his staunchest supporters.

I did wonder when I saw the 630am physical tweets, how AH would react, but then, I have to be at my job every day at 630, so I figured he would deal with it. If that's his issue, it's just kinda pathetic. I really wish that pro athletes (and politicians) had to work at a "real" job for a few months a year to appreciate their life.

I love how people are focusing on the player, yet this will signify a major fail by this organization....I would say both from the previous and current regimes.

To begin, I would say that AH is a major dick for doing this, but there is nothing we can do about this and in the end his reputation will take a major hit.

However, I fault this whole situation on the team for: 1. Paying a ton of money for a player that had some discipline issues (last regime). 2. Completely changing the defensive scheme that would make the team's most expensive player into something completely different (NT); and not trading him before the draft (this is whole on the current regime).

Now teams are going to low-ball the Redskins, because he has become a problem child for the team. Regardless, all parties are at fault and all lose something...well except AH who earned 21 mil. for playing a few games last season.

There is no defending this fat sack of shit anymore. Yeah we shouldn't never signed this loser but he signed a contract. Had he done his homework he would've known that Zorn was a lame duck, he would've known that Snyder isn't patient w/ coaches. And Kris Jenkins isn't bitching about playing NT after being a 4-3 tackle in Carolina. It's the NFL, shit changes. See this shows me how dumb this guy is. Change happens in any line of work all the time. Deal with it fat boy. You took the money.

The bottom line is that, during negotiations, the Redskins made promises to Haynesworth that they are not keeping. It's hard to blame the team when a guy who is making a hundred million a year is skipping training camp, but if the Redskins made verbal promises to Albert and they're not keeping those promises, well then they have to sleep in the bed they made.

to me I could care less, really I didn't seem him do much last year I rather cut bait now and at least get something for him then have him hang around as a cancer and then cut him for nothing.

That saying would apply if Reid and JLC were just making stuff up and one of their fabricated stories just happened to be true. However, it doesnt jive with reality. Reality is that JLC had actual SOURCES telling him Haynesworth was unhappy and wanted to be traded. Now, the majority here chose to stick their head in the sand and foolishly pretend that these were just rumors and the sources were crap. They foolishly chose to believe what Haynesworth, whose teammates refer to him as an "actor," said instead - even though anyone with any sense at all recognized that Haynesworth would be saying the exact same things whether or not he wanted to be traded or not. Hopefully, in the future, people will learn from this and not discredit JLC simply because they don't like what he has to say.

That would be the worst of all possible ideas. The most we'd get for him now is a 4th rounder. The best thing to do for the skins is to hold their ground and continue to fine Haynesworth at every opportunity. Under no circumstances should they trade him - ever. let his ass sit on the bench for 3 years. They need to send a message that they wont tolerate this sort of foolishness, setting a precedent to prevent something like this from happening again.

if he doesnt want to give his blood sweat and tears to the burgundy and gold, then get the f*ck out haynesworth.
