foxsports.com has an article about WWE's Brock Lesnar stating that after Wrestlemania XX he wants to leave the WWE and try out for the NFL. The article also states that he turned down tryouts for the Bucs and REDSKINS back in 2002. How well do you think that he will or could do in the NFL??

Where's my man Johnnyredskins. Let me tell you somthing, Brock Lesnar wont succeed in the National football league. The guy hasent played football since high school, and I dont even know if he played it then. The only positions that this guy's body is framed for is Fullback and Line Backer, and hes too slow to play those postions. I mean hes a big, athletic guy, so ya never know. But my $$ is on him not even getting close.

I agree with you I dont see him being a star or even making a team but he is big and athletic.

Wrestling is almost as big of a joke as that oversized galoof trying to do anything more than practice falling and slamming 5 days a week.

Ive never understood the fascination with Wrestling. You have two (or more) guys who are obviously faking it and it's totally set. How can you get into it. THat's like going to a football game with a pre-determined outcome. It's just not fun!

Not to mention the 'personalities' of the wrestlers are just horrible. They try to act like badasses and try to be intense, but I guess that's what you do when your sport finished in the red and is losing fans like Nascar without wrecks.

I've never heard of this guy(I quit watching wrestling several years ago). I don't think he could make it in the NFL anyway (especiallly if he hasn't played since high school). Several football players have gone into wrestling (Rock) but I don't know of any going from wrestling to the NFL.
Wrestling may be staged and the outcome predetermined but don't ever think these guys aren't athletic. Some of the moves, jumps and falls they take would kick an NFL players butt!!!

Daseal, we may not agree on the Clarett issue -- but you hit the nail on the head with regards to "pro wrestling".

Well said.

There are a few guys in the wwe and the nwa now that have played in the nfl one of which Bill Goldberg who played for the falcons till he blew his knee out has came out and said that they are 2 different worlds each have there own grooling days. I don't think brock would make it but there might be a handful of guys that would have a chance (no qb's or rb's )

Brock Lesnar was the NCAA super heavyweight wrestling champion. That's real wrestling folks, not the WWE nonsense.

There was another NCAA super heavyweight wrestling champion who became a nose tackle for a Super Bowl championship team. His name was Curly Culp. And if you never saw Curly Culp play, he was a damned good nose tackle for a long time.

What I wonder is whether or not Lesnar can pass the NFL drug tests after a stint in the WWE? A few folks there have been known to ingest a few "banned substances".

The whats the facination with movies, everythings predetermined. How can you get into it? ( Sorry, I gotta stick up for it, I've liked it forever)

I really don't like many movies, except goofy comedies. Just not my thing.

Sports, I'm not saying the guys that wrestle aren't athletes. It takes skill to do what they do, I'm just saying I don't see the appeal behind it. Lots of things can take skill but be worth nothing. Can these guys make the transition, I don't know. I'm talking about wrestling in itself.
