Tan, rested, and married!saden1 06-14-2010, 03:09 PM first, you give me a headache and i'm not even married to you. loool SBXVII 06-14-2010, 05:18 PM Schneed10 is most likely more correct. As you get older both your libido's slow down so your not as horny. I'll say I got married at around 28 had my first kid and second 2yrs later. Keep in mind after you have them you have to raise them for 18 yrs. You do the simple math and round up, If your 30 add 20 yrs to it and thats just your first kid. You'll basically be free again around 50 yrs old. If your closer to 40 then your stuck until 60. Average male lives to about 65 y/o. Average female 70. All I'm saying is everyone I've met has the same story. Whether it's libido, or being too exhausted because of taking care of kids and working it's the same story. Obviously I don't know what I'm talking about. Your marriage is totally different. I hope you keep up the excitement. But for fun.... do your own survey. See what all the married people tell you about their marriages. ;) I even surveyed the ladies. Same issues. Except they said after being with kids all day changing diapers, feeding, and bathing they were too tired to do anything else. Then they said the male failed to romance them any more. It was all go to work, come home, help the kids with homework, eat dinner, get the kids to bath and bed and then pass out. Maybe I'm totally wrong about your marriage. Good luck to you. SBXVII 06-14-2010, 05:24 PM By the way.... Homework. lol. It's supposed to be 15 min. a night. lol. It's more like 2-3 hours a night. God forbid they have a project. That's a parents nightmare. See projects are busy work for parents. The kids don't do it, you do. lol. Just when you thought you could check school off you list of things to do then you have to do it all over again cause your kids don't understand the work the teacher gave them so you teach them the way you were taught only to find out they were learning another method and was not supposed to use your method. lol. Anyway. I'm just having fun with you, I'm not trying to kill your excitement. lol. mooby 06-14-2010, 06:13 PM Congrats Scud! So happy for you. - Aruba was indeed awesome. I loved it, can't wait to go back. - Sex with the same person over and over loses some of the excitement, no doubt. If you've been together seven years you probably experienced this in some form already. I'm your age, but from what I read as you age your hormones naturally change, so both of you will feel a decreased appetite at times in your life. But it's OK, it's not about quantity it's about quality. As long as it's good for both of you, you'll be enjoying life. Like anything else, you get back what you put into it (pun intended). - The when to have kids matter is one that draws strongly varied opinions. I had my first at 27 so I guess I'd consider that on the young side these days. There's no right or wrong. If you have them real early then maybe you're not mature enough to be a parent, maybe not financially secure enough, maybe you just have things you want to do first. Maybe you're not done growing up yourself and aren't fit to give somebody else guidance yet. Then again though, if you have them too late, you risk birth defects (women over 35 have a much higher chance of having babies with Down Syndrome or Autism). You also wonder if you'll have the energy to keep up with an 8 year old when you're 45. And you burden yourself financially with consecutive huge bills in your 50's and 60's. First feeding a growing teenager, then right into college, then right into your retirement. Leaves you little time/flexibility to travel the world, or whatever. I personally think age 30 (for the woman) is the perfect balance of all of the above. But everyone's different, every situation is different, so there's no right or wrong. TMC and Matty give the view of the married couple without kids, but let me tell you that as someone who has young ones, don't be scared of it. It seems like a big scary thing that will totally change your life. But if you and your wife accidentally get pregnant, it will end up being the happiest thing. Fun does not end, the definition of fun simply changes. If you and your wife love each other and know how to live a fun life together, kids won't change that. Promise. Now that I have kids, I don't find myself looking forward to my 50s when I can travel the world with my wife, I look forward to taking them to the beach and watching their eyes light up when they see the ocean. Life's a fun ride, it's all good, don't fear any of it. You're a well-adjusted guy, you'll be happy with anything life throws your way. Boy I'd consider that wayyy on the old side where I live. Surveying all the chicks I've met in high school, through friends, and from all the places I've worked I'd say 80% of them have gotten pregnant or have had a kid by the time they turned 20. I wish I was lying with that figure but in the last 3 years it seems like the chicks I have hung out with have decreased steadily as more and more of them got pregnant and then had to start spending all their time supporting their baby. And the majority of these girls have had deadbeat baby daddies too. SBXVII 06-14-2010, 06:20 PM Boy I'd consider that wayyy on the old side where I live. Hmm, interesting. and I'm guessing they are still going on dates all the time and going at it like rabbits right? budw38 06-14-2010, 06:28 PM Yea, I tried to make my wife happy last night but she said she was too tired, and had a headach. And you fell for that ???? Next time she says "I have a headache " , take her over your knee and spank her ... she will quickly forget about that " headache ", and you should be good to go . Oh , don't bitch me out if you end up with a black eye :) Schneed10 06-14-2010, 06:59 PM Boy I'd consider that wayyy on the old side where I live. And the majority of these girls have had deadbeat baby daddies too. Yeah that's obviously way early. My first was an accident for us at age 27 (my wife is the same age as me). If all went according to our master plan, we'd be having our first right about now, when we're 30. But it all worked out, I got far along enough in my career to allow my wife to stay home full time with the kids. I felt that was important, and boy does it make it easier to deal with the day-to-day stuff when somebody's at home to deal with it. All I do is cut the grass each week. But yeah, you're talking like practically ruin your life type early. Having kids before you're done college means getting a job just to make ends meet and putting longer term goals on hold. That's sad. |
