For the rest of the season most of the teams we are playing aren't exactly the best running stuffing defenses. How many yards do you think Portis will get agains Phill twice( 6th last in run defense),San Fran, Giants, cowboys, and the Bangels who are all in the bottom of the Run Defense. I think Portis will break his own record especially since he is getting yards against good running teams like the Lions. At the end of the year I wouldn't be suprised if he had 1650 yards.

I don't think anyone should be surpised if that happens. He's currently on pace for 1620 yards.

Portis is small, so I look for him to start wearing down at some point. I hope I'm wrong, but I think it will happen.

I have to agree with cpayne. I do not hink he will get 1600 but I could be worng I think to see him around 1300-1500 range. If brunell keeps playin, his yards are eventually going to go down.

I do think he could get to 1600, if the passing game comes around. If this happens, the running lanes will be huge for him and his YPC will skyrocket.

I think it depends...If he keeps running up the gut 1600 yards will be tough to accomplish, but he can get it to the outside and get most of the yards that way then I think 1600 yards is possible.

I think teams starting this weekend will just stack the box and make Brunnel beat them. So in some ways I think it depends on Brunnel.

true portis is small but i dont think we should be worrying about him wearing down , he's only 22 years old and in great shape. he might slow down a little bit but not much.

it also depends on if we have playoff chances late- then Portis will run his heart out and Gibbs will keep him in... if not- Betts will get some serious playing time..

i think his numbers are completely dependent on how many people they put into the box against him... jamal and bettis are much better at running through people, but if we can even get a hint of a passing game, i think he'll get his 1600 without an problems... he's a 5.5ypc type of guy getting 4.0 because the D is stacking on him...
