Vincent Jackson would be a serious upgrade over anything we have here at the moment. A deal may be difficult though.

Maybe so, but he has a pending suspension, which puts the team that pays for him in a very vulnerable spot. If we got him at a reasonable deal maybe BA would sign him, but I doubt the Chargers are going to be reasonable in their asking.

We don't need a receiver bad enough to trade for Vincent Jackson. Put it this way, a few years ago the Chiefs had the most proficient offense in the league. Their formula, an elite tight end, solid receivers, a pro bowl QB, and a devastating running game led by a great O-Line, all masterminded by a great offensive mind combination (Vermil/Saunders-Shanahan/Shanahan). Right now we have all of those pieces and then some (Fred Davis is the some).

NFL teams have proved time and time again that having elite receivers is something that's nice to have, not essential. Trading more draft picks to win the Super Bowl in 2010/11 is insane. I mean give us credit, we do have some time to build a team. Right now the only thing left to do is to get everyone on the same page with the offense.

Id give'm Fat Ass Albert for Jackson without a second thought...but no draft picks unless late, late rounder(s)

Completely agree with the sentiment that we don't need to bring Vincent Jackson in. I mean, McNabb is used to working with next to nothing at the WR position and when he does have some decent receivers, he puts up crazy numbers.

We have Cooley and Fred Davis as well as a solid offensive mind in Kyle Shanahan to use the pieces we do have. Let's see how we do with the players in place befroe bringing in more disgruntled players.

I think we are just inquiring. Looking under every rock.

I will say this, even though I cringe at the thought of pursuing another skill player I have to give the Redskins credit. For the most part they've built from the line out. First with the D-Line (Kemo, Cariker, multiple random bodies), then the O-Line (Hicks, Williams, Capers, Cook), and finally QB. If they did this I'd be a little disappointed but knowing the Skins Front Office it would probably be a bargain.

At what point will people, not singling you out cause I've heard this from many people, understand that Cooley and Davis are TE's? Yes we have them. Yes they both are awsome. However the coach's are looking for WR's. Although they can be used as WR's we still need WR's. The team need to keep defenses guessing where the ball is going instead of other teams covering two players and we have no other weapons.

On a side note, again, why are we looking into picking up players that will require the team to give up too much when one (T.O) is still out there and would cost little? or atleast a lot less.

Next up to be released..... Roydell Williams, Shay Hodge, Joey Galloway(due to age, 38).

Left over....

Armstrong
Austin
Banks
Furry
Kelly
Moss
Thomas

Thats the WR's boys. I could see 5 WR's active, (Moss, Thomas, Kelly, Furry, and Armstrong), one either Austin or Banks being a KR/PR/WR, and the other put on practrice squad. Depending on play I might even dump Furry or Kelly for T.O.

I'd heavily look into cutting Furry and picking up T.O. on a 2yr deal giving Thomas and Kelly 2 yrs to be developed correctly in order to replace him.

Shanahan was apparently high on Jackson back in 2005

I don't want to see him cut yet, until I've seen him play a game or two in the preseason.
