I think we should sign him...so that people can no longer say Albert Haynesworth is the only player skipping OTAs

Gotta start somewhere!!

Springs was past his prime when he was here the last time. He was old, slow, and more injury prone than CP.

He was one of my favorites here and a true redskin, but it hurt me to see his last couple seasons here, when he had lost more than a step...

The sad thing was he still was our best DB those last two seasons. Wish we could find some young corners that play great, but don't get too greedy come time to resign.

to fill in if Sharper isn't retained?

Sharper already resigned with the Saints.

Sharper is already coming back.

Just saying there's the Gregg Williams connection, perhaps he could find a spot for him there.

It wouldn't suprise me if Williams tried him at free safety...didn't he try that while with the Skins?

The funny thing is, we need a starting free safety...I know Springs aint that...but it wouldn't suprise me if he ended up in a similar role somewhere (assuming he is in playing shape)

The guy was one of my favorite defenders.
He was pretty solid for us at corner all those years, I know he isn't the same guy anymore, but I still think the guy could play ball.

I am suprised that he suposedly failed a physical (a link would be cool)...that is pretty bad for a DB...probably the kiss of death if true.

The defense Haslett wants to run doesn't make the distinction between free and strong. They're just supposed to cover their freaking area.

Well I just hope whatever scheme he has doesn't result in Laron Landry being burned by Desean Jackson.

Guys, failing a physical doesn't mean all that much. Physicals are very subjective and a guy can pass or fail one based on what the team wants. Plus, he's coming off of offseason surgery so of course he failed.

In an interview with AOL Fanhouse, Springs agreed, adding, “Anybody who has offseason surgery is going to fail a physical.”

I can see Springs in Arizona, or even back with the Patriots
