Bargain bin: Undervalued in the NFC West - NFC West Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/18842/bargain-bin-undervalued-in-the-nfc-west)
1. Calais Campbell, Cardinals defensive end. Campbell produced 7.0 sacks in his first season as a starter, more than predecessor Antonio Smith has ever managed in a season. Sacks aren't everything, particularly for a 3-4 end, but Campbell is already better than some veteran starters. He'll earn $470,000 in salary this season on a deal averaging $726,250 per season.

Vinny, not that you had much credibility to begin with but you better hope like hell that one of your ugly duckling draft picks turns into a swan.

Nice mid-offseason report from ESPN

NFL: The Washington Redskins, Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens made great offseason moves; the Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs, not so much - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=chadiha_jeffri&id=5242011)

yeah they say good things about us, so I like it :)

Parker is the obvious man out if we manage to sign Westbrook.

I like Willie Parker, I always have, but if he's got very little burst now, he's going to have a tough time beating out Keiland Williams, much less Brian Westbrook.

I've got a soft spot for Williams as I have in-laws in LA and I've become a pretty big LSU fan since I met my wife. Because of this, I watched him play a lot in college and I've always liked him. He seemed to have good speed for a college back and could take it to the house if you got him into space. How that will translate to the NFL? I have absolutely no idea, but I liked him at LSU and I liked him coming out. I was happy when the Skins got him, but I don't know if he's built for the NFL. The Shanahans will have to make that decision, but I'm rooting for the kid to do well and beat out whoever he needs to to make this roster.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to have a little bit of youth in the backfield.

There's a host of players like Williams who, at some point come through our system and we wish we could keep them all. A farm, like baseball should be negotiated as a part of the next cba.

He could be the darkhorse in the RB mix, if not for this year possibly next.
