Who out there trusts Gibbs? Really trusts Gibbs? I think I do. . .eventhough every bone in my body wants Ramsey to start.
Its pretty easy to say that Gibbs is stubborn or favoring Brunell because of religious reasons, or doesn't want to look bad cause Brunell is "his guy..."
But I think Gibbs cares more about winning then he does any of that crap. If he thought Pat could give us a better chance to win he would put him in there....
What do you guys think??
Who out there REALLY trusts Gibbs??

I think Gibbs bought a very expensive square peg and is pummeling it with a very large sledge. Admitting to himself that signing Brunell to a big contract was a mistake amounts to admitting that his dream of a Superbowl repeat might not happen because of the damage it's done to the salary cap.
I trust that Gibbs is a very good coach who is smart enough to realize that he made a very bad mistake and is trying his hardest to deal with it the best way he knows. I trust that he wishes he signed a better free agent quarterback or signed Brunell to a contract that didn't hurt the team long term.
I don't trust that he is making all the right decisions for the franchise.

We all trust Gibbs no questioning that. The question is why is Brunell staying in. Is Ramsey not that impressive to Gibbs or is there too much invested in Brunell to pull him out. Maybe Coach is seeing something that we dont and one game Brunell will really get in to it and he can tell everyone I told you so. At this point I dont think that Ramsey can do much worse. Who am I to question some guy that has won 3 Super Bowls. I saw on PTI today that Wilbon was talking about where Drew Brees could play next year and he mentioned Baltimore and Washington. I would not see how we could get Brees next year as much as we have invested in Brunell (how much of a hit would we take on the cap). At any rate I dont see how we could keep Brunell at this point. I know, I know I am WAY ahead of my self here. Lets just hope that Brunell will learn or get the system SOON. If Brunell starts playing good the whole team will. No to think that he is a one man team, but it seems like everything is great except QB position.

To ask the question, what does Gibbs's see in Brunell that we don't see is a rhetorical question that really doesn't demand an explanation because by now we should all know why Brunell is in the game. With that said, when I you look at Ramsey from a mentally tough standpoint, the same dilemma keeps entering my mind. Turnovers, sacks and more turnovers. Gibbs is not having it and rightfully so. He has patience with the passing game because the offensive line is not consistent along with Brunell. Brunell's best days have passed him by but he does know how to avoid the sack and throw the ball away all too well and that's what Gibbs wants. Another opportunity to run a play. If you look at our time of possession, it's usually equal or above our opponents which means there is some consistency with ball management. I'm patiently waiting for an available veteran QB to become an free agent so this team can return to greatest because Ramsey is nowhere near Rothlisberger.

The factor that doesn't getting discussed when people invoke Gibbs' 3 rings as reason to "trust" him, is that he was GM for exactly zero of those championships. instead, we had bobby bethard, who is widely regarded as one of the true personel geniuses in NFL history.
While I trust Gibbs to manage the game on sunday, and feel that I owe him that based on his past record, I do not feel obliged to trust his GM abilities. Indeed, there is one glaring personel decision he has made this year that I felt was outrageous at the time, and grows more indefensible with each passing week. You guys know who I'm talking about.....Walt Harris.
But seriously, I can guarantee you that Bethard wouldn't have gone and dropped 43 mil and a third rounder on a washed up QB, when the future was waiting there to be properly schooled.
And I know that Gibbs isn't technically GM, but Brunell was all his call.
No I'm not a Gibbs hater, and no I'm not Zach Mills in disguise. I am just think its harder to trust his personel acumen with each passing week.

I would say I trust him. I don't always agree with his decisions. But I trust that he's doing what he feels is in the best interests of the team

I have good faith in coach Gibbs, but I don't believe that either Brunell or Ramsey is the answer. I would prefer to see the rookie Tim Hasselbeck, he looked decent during the pre-season. If that is the answer, we will never know because Gibbs will never put him in. Besides it really makes no difference with a crumbling offensive line.
