Popp could leave Alouettes (http://www.montrealgazette.com/sports/Popp+could+leave+Alouettes/3024720/story.html)

This is interesting, haven't really heard it anywhere else. But I'll ask my cousin (former CFL scout/reporter in Canada covering the CFL) for his input

there was something on ES about this yesterday. I can't see him being here in any large capacity so i dont really have an opinion on it.

Im in the mindset the more quality front office guys the better. The only thing is where would he fit? I thought Doug Williams might be heading our way also wouldnt that be crowding up the front office?

I read on PFT (please don't stone me) they said he has an eye for football talent diamonds in the rough.

Who knows he was up in Canada right? Maybe he can locate good Canadian talent for our team. That would open us up for two markets instead of one.

Chris Wilson wants a word with some of you.

So I talked to my cousin and he said that Popp is arguably the best talent evaluator in the CFL, and he's got good connections in the NFL. But the evaluation process is different in the NFL, so he's not sure how it would translate
