Lucky for us he'll miss the Redskins Game.

@Adam_Schefter Filed to ESPN: Texans Rookie of the Year LB Brian Cushing is being suspended four games for violating NFL's steroids policy. More @ espn.com 4 minutes ago

@Adam_Schefter Cushing appealed the suspension in February and discovered today he had lost his appeal. First game he will miss is against the Colts. 4 minutes ago

I remember before the 2009 draft there were rumors that he had taken steroids but personally I was skeptical.

The picture on the left is allegedly man boobs that were proof of Cushing using steroids.

Now I feel like Orakpo got robbed of a chance to win DROY.

Clay Matthews was also rumored to be taking steroids so I wonder if we'll see either a positive test or a sophomore slump in his future.

Cheating bastard. Glad he's missing our game.

Actually now that I think about it I'm bummed he's missing our game. Players usually suck after they get caught with steroids at least initially.

This is like the football equivalent of Ricky Martin and Clay Aiken. They tell everyone they're not gay, so you go around defending them when you hear people call them gay, then one day you're in the line at the supermarket and see the cover of People magazine in big bold letters saying "I'm Gay."

Cushing was one of those guys were I heard about steroid use and I kept on saying "no no, he's clean, the NCAA wouldn't let him get away with him using. For God sake they went to my brothers dorm in the middle of the day and watched him just like the NFL guys did in the Chris Cooley story. So no way he could beat the NCAA." Then this comes out.

Damn, I'm disappointed in the fellow Trojan. You can't follow up a ROY campaign with a major FU like this.

From Some Guy on YouTube:
Ccarcamo713 have you everseen anyone on steroids...you can tell whose on steroids..Brian Orakpo is not!..people on steroids have their muscles all deformed.
Sorry, it's just that this comment put my mind at ease. I was also one of the guys that stood up for Palmiero after his finger point of death.

Back to Cushing though.
Headlinin': Brian Cushing's 'growth' raises combine quesitons - Dr. Saturday - NCAAF Blog - Yahoo! Sports (http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/Headlinin-Brian-Cushing-s-growth-raises-comb?urn=ncaaf,143937)
An NFL general manager, requesting anonymity, said: "We’ve been warned it is an issue and might have been one since high school. We are considering that. As unpleasant as it is, this is an issue with this player that only a negative test here is going to clear up right now. It’s unfortunate, because no one wants to kill the kid, but the issue is a reality."

And a 30-year NFL scout added: "If I were to look at the entire 300-plus group of players here and ask myself based on my knowledge of steroids which one of these players is the prime prospect to have used it, he would be it. He has the physique and other attributes that indicate it. But he is fortunate. Unlike other sports, we test strongly for it. And if he passes that test, so be it. He gets a clean slate with us."
I remember hearing about how proud everyone was of how he put on size after being undersized in high school. I guess now we know where it came from. It's just as well though, he's rich right now but he'll eventually be bankrupt after he retires.

I wonder though if teams were allowed to know who passed and failed a drug test in light of an appeal. I can imagine that going into the year with a 4 game suspension wouldn't have helped Cushing's 1st round status.
