Redskins announce signing of veteran linebacker Chris Draft.

The Redskins have set up the locker room to accomodate 110 players for this weekend's minicamp and have 84 under some sort of contract protection, including 6 rookies, McIntosh, and Rodgers.
That's alot of players to evaluate!

Sounds like he is an ILB, though he is another journeyman.

He was a four-year letter winner and a three-year starter at inside linebacker for Stanford.

Highlights:
Carolina Panthers
Draft was signed by Carolina in early 2005. Played in all 16 games in first season in Carolina, also seeing action in all three postseason contests. In 2006 he started all 16 games for second time of career and he made 111 tackles had 5.5 sacks.
St. Louis Rams
On March 19, 2007 he signed a three-year contract with the Rams. He played in all 16 games with seven starts in first season with Rams and registered 54 tackles (40 solo) including 1.0 sack. His 14 special teams tackles ranked fourth on team. Seven of his starts came in place of an injured Pisa Tinoisamoa. In 2008 he made 41 tackles and 2 passes defensed. He was released from the Rams on September 10th, 2009.
Buffalo Bills
On October 13, 2009, the day that Bills placed starting linebacker Kawika Mitchell on the IR with a knee injury, Buffalo signed Draft to a 1 year contract.

Well the St. Louis connection to Haslett is clear. While Draft is no big difference maker, he's the kind of guy who can fill a role, and as we all know the key to building a team is having enough of those guys filling good roles.
Our D coordinator knows what he's getting here, if he sticks on our roster it's nice to know that Haslett will deploy him well.
