If I'm not mistaken Warner's deal is only for one year so Eli is the man next season

On a somewhat related note, I heard that the Chargers GM said not to rule out the possibility that the Chargers might keep Brees and trade Rivers in the offseason. Anyone else heard this?

im pretty sure it was 2 years 7 million dollars or something like that

Eli is a puss? Please. I really don't want to have to face him for the next 15 years. He's a great QB.

You can say BIG BEN BIG BEN. Why didn't he get choosen first? He didn't play the level ball these guys did. Miami of Ohio - the football juggernaught. Who's to say Manning won't crush anything Roethlisburger does? Roeth has a great defense backing him up (#2 in the leage), a good running game, a great back, solid line, and in my opinion, the best receiving core in football. Not many rookie QBs get to walk into a situation as favorable as that.

Im not saying Ben doesn't have talent. He's a great QB, but he has a lot of things moving in his direction.

Roethlisberger definitely fell into a great situation for a rookie QB. Two solid RB's, a very good WR group and a quality coaching staff.

That being said he's having a heck of a rookie campaign, if he keeps this up he'll go down as the most impressive rookie QB in the history of the game. He shows remarkable poise for a young QB, and he's completing 69% of his throws! That's just insane.

It's way too early to write off guys like Manning and Rivers though. Who knows what the future could hold, they could both surpass Roethlisberger.

Roethlisberger is 6 & 0 as a rookie! Enough said.
I hope Eli gets burned for going to N.Y. But I really don't see it happening. S.D will screw there team up just watch! I hope not I short of like the Chargers. But there kinda like the Clippers. Because there Owner SUCKS!

Chargers should keep Brees no matter what and get rid of Rivers when given the chance. Look at what Ryan Leaf did to them. While River may not be the next Ryan Leaf you just dont know how you will do drafting a QB. We speak that from experience ala Heath Schuler.

While I agree with much of what you said I don't think the fact that he went to Miami of Ohio should be held against him (by the way is Miami of Ohio still the Redskins?)

Anyway, look at Culpepper, McNair, Leftwich, Pennington, they didn't go to top schools by football standards

Marshall is a pretty damn good football school, smootsmack. Mewelde Moore, Randy Moss, Pennington, Leftwich.

Culpeper went to lower southeast redneck state, he's right. Still, most of the time, big players DO NOT come out of small schools.
