Saw this link & I remember watching this guy:

Inside Scouting Report on Redskins UFA: LSU RB Keiland Williams - Hogs Haven (http://www.hogshaven.com/2010/4/27/1446360/inside-scouting-report-on-redskins)

He seems to run straight up too much as I recall, doesn't lower his frame enough. I do think he has a chance to make it as the #3 rb due to his hands & if he can play spec. teams. I see Parker as the odd man out if they like this kid's work on teams & pass catching, even if Parker is the better runner.

Would be a great story but not likely. Under Shanny's offense, the vet RBs should be very successful. No way he's beating out Parker or Johnson. He may not even beat out Torrain.

With the extra WRs we've been picking up, Austin is going to have to really impress to make the team, even as a KR. This kid could take over Rock Cartwright's role if he does well...we need a returner and any lower-depth chart RBs or WRs are going to have to be great on special teams/return game.

Forgot about Torrain. I wouldn't be too confident in Parker. Perhaps he's got his legs back, but w/out his speed he's avg. at best. They will have to have a wr & rb playing teams in all likelihood and I don't see any of the vets playing teams.

I would like to see Torrain or williams make the team to return kicks, play on coverage units & see some time as the 3rd rb. If either one can do 2 of the 3 I think they make the team.

I hope you don't mean Roydell. :D

A few years ago the Broncos were carrying Ryan Torrain (TORRAIN!!!!!!), Selvin Young, Andre Hall, and Anthony Aldridge. So it's not like Shanahan won't carry 4 running backs, thought that will have to be a big blow to Willie if he's not one of the four.

Everyone knows he meant Big Mike Williams, and it's hard to see why not. Who do you know that can tackle a 330 pound kick returner without a ton of help?

He seems like he'd be a good PS candidate.

Can we just clear something up here? It's Torain, not Torrain. We had this same issue last year with Chase Daniel, not Chase Daniels.

That said, barring another signing (Westbrook?), Williams has a great chance to make the roster as the 4th back, and if he plays strongly enough sure he can compete for #3. I think ATV's previous time with Shanahan gives him a slight advantage

So Smoot you think there is a good chance that the final depth chart may look something like this (like you stated without signing another rb):

1. Portis
2. Johnson
3. Torian
4. Williams

Portis and Johnson in my mind are 1 and 1a. I don't think one will be significantly ahead of the other

I'm biased toward Torain

It's not like Parker doesn't have a shot, but he's got a lot to prove. Not that LJ, ATV, and Williams don't
