Since you seem confused or disturbed by my comment I shall enlighten.

Had the little tramp not ran away to be with said boyfriend (pimp) or thought the grass would be greener away from her family she kinda got what she deserved. I don't condone abuse at all, but had she stayed at home where she should have been, instead of running away from home, she most likely would not have been in this situation and protected....by her family.

Instead she must have thought screw this I'm out I don't have to listen to this, ran away, hooked up with a pimp (either she met him or was introduced to him through a friend), and put herself in this situation. Maybe if kids would take a moment to realize they are not as smart as they think and there are people who are out there willing to take advantage of them any way they can, she might not have been pimped out or abused.

I see it all the time. Kids running away cause they don't like what mommy and daddy are punishing them for. Mostly its bad grades and they aren't going to be told they can't speak or see their boyfriends/girlfriends. Unfortunatly there are a small % that hook up with the wrong people as in this case or hooking up with people through the internet.
I get what you're saying, but unless you know her family then who knows how she was better off.

Come on man, if this was Dexter Manley and we were at a Giants board, the same thing would be happening. Just gotta roll with the punches.

If this were ES then it would be expected.

Just stop, moron. #1, you're making shit up, you have no idea what happened. #2, you're blaming the victim of an alleged crime, which makes no sense at all.

This.

Amazing how many experts we have here, no need for a trial apparently some have it all figured out.

It's sad to see Lawrence (despite his HOF credentials) is going to ultimately be remembered more for his failures than for his accomplishments. You're right, right now the only thing he's guilty of is bad judgement, once all the facts are known that may be all he's found to be guilty of.

That, and being a scumbag. Regardless of whether Taylor thought the girl was 16 or 18 or 19, these disturbing facts remain - Taylor, a 51 year old married man paid to have sex with a prostitute whom he thought was 18ish and showed signs of being physically abused. Married +Cheating + Prostitute + Young girl + Black eye = Scumbag.

He should be thankful that a couple of years in prison, a ruined marriage, and a further damaged reputation is his "worst-case scenario." In my opinion, the man doesn't deserve the air he's breathing.

man, this is a crazy thread!

I thought I'd just share my personal LT experience; he's from my hometown - Williamsburg, VA. I had a basketball coach in 5th grade that was one of LT's 3 best friends. My football & track coach coached LT & often talked about him. LT gave our program a lot of $, relatively speaking.

During my senior year, 86-7 the year the g-men beat the broncos & LT was mvp of the league I believe, he came to our school to speak. All of us on the football team got to attend, along w/a select group of a couple hundred that were invited, media included.

It was his first time ever talking about his drug addiction. He talked about overcoming his cocaine habit, which he essentially said sprang from having hundreds of dollars in his pocket & being bored, wanting to get the kind of high in the offseason he did from football. He seemed honestly changed to some degree, but was still short of humility. It almost seemed as if he was giving this speech in his hometown to fulfill a career PR obligation. I can't remember his words, but someone asked him about JOey T's leg, which he'd broken a year before. He answered in some crass manner. He seemed more upset about theiseman's leg when it actually happened though, I do remember that.

Anyway, Williamsburg over the years is much less proud of him than we are of Ron Springs and Bruce Hornsby. Not just his behavior, but his often arrogant attitude thereafter has been a turn off to a lot of people. Over the last 10 years or so it seemed he started to grow up. Nonetheless, this shouldn't surprise many people that are sports fans & familiar w/him.
