I was thinking of this thread last night while watching Intervention, there has not been one episode of someone who abused Pot that need an "intervention", plenty of alcohol episodes though. Just a small sample but interesting.

On Real Time with Bill Maher, Bill read a statistic which said that nationwide, 81% of people polled now favor the use of marijuana for medical purposes.

What I'd like to know about are the 19% who disagree with that. If there's a terminally ill patient who finds some sort of comfort or relief from the use of marijuana, what kind of evil, twisted f*ck do you have to be to deny them something, ANYTHING that would alleviate their pain?

I will never understand that mentality.

The 19% are just plain ignorant.

I would bet those folks would have no problems with shooting someone up with morphine. But god forbid you smoke a plant.
