Actually this thread is not even talking about a back up, it's talking about a freaking 3rd stringer.

I think it's more of being testy about "the QB of the future", than the backup.

The Pinneapple Jesus crew should have been at FedEx Field on Saturday for the draft party. His replica jersey was in the tent sale for $11.

Ok, I was gunna say with all the CB threads we had to open another but it seems others have beat that drum.

So I'll take a serious side to this question:

I like his chances. I think he might shine under the Shanahan's. My only concern will be his height compared to the other two QB's. Never mind. Just looked Austin is now the shorty.
CB- 6-3 206 lbs
Bartel- 6-3 233 lbs
Austin- 5-10 165 lbs

I have not seen Bartel play but Looking at Austin's play from college he looks pretty good also. I could see CB being the #3 if healthy and Austin making the PS.
