From the Redskins Mailbag:

Gary: It’s a little early to anoint starters, but it’s probably safe to assume that Carter and Brian Orakpo would start at outside linebacker and Rocky McIntosh and London Fletcher would start on the inside in a 3-4. Once Jarmon is fully recovered from his knee ligament injury, he is expected to join Lorenzo Alexander and Chris Wilson in competing for playing time at outside linebacker. Riley joins H.B. Blades, Chris Draft and Robert Henson competing for playing time at inside linebacker.

Hey, I thought Jarmon would be a DE in the 3-4. Perhaps I'm completely wrong, but I thought he was similar in build to Philip Daniels. If he's another OLB trying to switch to standing up -- was this another wasted pick on someone who's going to have to struggle to be in the 3-4 system?

Jarmon was always around the 280 range. Besides, with that new conditioning program, it's probably much easier to lose weight that to gain weight, especially gaining "useful" weight(aka muscle).

To this point I was surprised to hear Carriker say he's looking to add 15 lbs (to get to 315).

I dunno then since weight training and the like is something I'm completely clueless on. Maybe his body has the frame to accomodate a few more pounds of muscle.

De's were told 320 is ideal

Then Ah should shut his damn mouth and play DE. He just needs to drop about 30lbs. Hopefully he has been working out. What if this fatass shows up to camp out of shape?

Chargers would take a second-round pick for Merriman (http://theredzone.org/BlogDescription/tabid/61/EntryId/6397/Chargers-would-take-a-second-round-pick-for-Merriman/Default.aspx)

Merriman is apparently available. what do you guys think? just a thought but merriman and RaK coming off the edges is pretty scary.
