"Nah, man, I'm playing strong safety," - Laron Landry
Man people really took to the LB comment and ran with it huh.
What he also said was he's going to have more LB-like responsibilities at safety this year (more in the box stuff), but he's definitely not going to be playing LB.

Well if he wouldn't have said that he may even line up at the LB position sometimes there wouldn't be any discussion about it. The reason he's had to clarify it is because of the way he originally said it. I personally just thought it was great that we'd be seeing some different looks to throw the offense off. Nobody has said Landry would play LB this year instead of Safety.

That's where he belongs but I am really worried about the FS position.

I'd like to see if Kareem Moore could handle it.

Agreed. We have no one on the roster who is a playmaker/ballhawk guy. Moore is not that guy, which is why signing Sharper would've been a good move. Hopefully someone gets cut or we make a trade because having Moore at FS is a weakness.

Me too!! I've been saying this every time I saw someone list FS as a draft need. I think Moore has a good chance of getting the job.

I thought he played well in the time he got. What makes you say he's a weakness? I'm not saying he's all pro material but I don't recall him making any glaring mistakes other than the stripped INT, which was a great play by Meechum.

No he's not a bad player, but I think he's no more than a quality backup FS. He's a good hitter, but he's average in coverage, speed, and he hasn't made any memorable plays (besides the INT that got stripped). I hope he proves me wrong, but I'd bet Moore wouldn't be considered a starter on 31 other teams. IMO Moore is a good backup, but if he impresses during traing camp I'll admit I was wrong
