sorry but we're not going to dominate the division. we didn't win one game in the division and the only team that we might be better than is Philly. what a stupid comment. hall is an idiot, always has been and always will be. but he is our best playmaker in the secondary so hopefully he'll benefit from the new scheme. and hopefully haslett will teach hall how to tackle.

Well since Hall is my favorite Skin I must interject here.

Halls comment to me was refreshing. It shows that there is finally something there that is exciting the players. "We are going to dominate the division" is not something you say in the NFC East especially if your a Redskin of the last decade (or more) unless there is a renewed spirit and level of dedication starting with the organization and reaching the team as a whole.

As far as Hall always being a idiot. I don't see that at all. And his positive comment does not reflect that of an idiot. I can see if he said the Skins will try but in the end we will be the same old broken team. But he's excited about the new scheme as he should be.

As far as his tackling, well he does need improvement here but so does the team as a whole.

As long as Hall disrupts the backfield and comes up with INT's as he does and will. I'll be happy with that. I would hope that he is not in the position to have to tackle a break away RB as often as he has been.

He has the right attitude and is a playmaker. I'm glad he's a Redskin and hope his enthusiasm is contagious.

Someone has gotten into the off season Kool-Aid again. I swear they need to lock that sh** up. - - Look, it is in clearly marked containers. Please, please do not post within 30 minutes of consumption.

or, if you must post, please do it on ES (ba-zinga!).

There is plenty available at this time of year. I like the red the best. When I drink it, I see perfectly a 19-0 season, where our offense puts up 475 pts while our defense allows only 200, we have a+37 TO ratio, and our division foes forfeited their 2nd games rather than face the humiliating pain they knew was inevitable. When I drink the blue I only see a +35 TO ratio and that kinda depresses me.

So you'd rather he say that we suck or something?

I'd rather he say "We are much improved and I'm confident we will have a better product on the field this year than we did last year. Players are really taking to the scheme and are excited by the invigorated spirit that the new coaching staff has brought to Redskins Park. I'm very optimistic about this upcoming season b/c I know what the talent in our locker room is capable of. If we play like we should, I think the sky is the limit for this team."

You can be optimistic and confident without sounding like a cocky, antagonistic, uber-douche

D. Hall wants to be a star in some capacity. I wish he did the little things on the field as much as he does interviews on espn & comcast. I still think the guy could be an elite corner, but I don't get the impression he works on all the details of the game.

Realistically, the only team we might be better than right now is the g-men. They fell apart last year & kind of lost their identity. Whereas we fell apart & reverted to a familiar losing identity. The changes in the org. are good for a few wins but I think it's a bit overly optimistic to say we'll "dominate" the div. and in fairness to Allen & Shanny, they need more than a year to right the ship. Sadly, the cowpokes are hands down the div. favorite at this point.

Here's his entire quote:

"It's based on the talent we feel like we've got," he said. "It's based on the improvements I feel like we've made. It's based on the scheme. The scheme alone is gonna give us four or five more wins. The games we lost by two, three points, we'll win those games, easy.

"We'll dominate our division, off of bringing Donovan McNabb in here, a guy who's dominated the division in the past. So that's just an educated guess. That's an educated guess, and I stand behind. I'll stand behind that. I'll fight and claw to try to make that happen."

I will admit that it is hard for me to be a McNabb fan after rooting against him for so many years. But he is not an average QB like Jason Campbell is and always will be. McNabb will make our young WRs better and we will score more points, which will make it easier on our Defense, which to me, would make them more aggressive and have more turnovers.

Let's face it everyone, the reason the Skins have not been winning more games in the past, is because they have averaged less than 20 points per game in the last several years.

They have to score more, and McNabb will help them do that. We finnally have a legit QB.

That cocky SOB! Shame on him. And screw educated guesses. LOL. :silly:

Nice to hear some confidence, but then again what else do you expect him to say? We are going to suck? We very well may win the division, but the team is basically the same with the exception of Donovan and Williams, with Carriker along for the ride. We will see how much the line is going to be revamped. Remember Donovan had the best trio of Wrs in the division, if not the entire league last year. He doesn't have those big guns anymore. That being said Kyle's offense is way more open than Zorn's and more akin to Norv's. If Norv had a franchise QB and better safeties, he could have kicked some ass.

Can't really see where you get that. Dead weight players and coaches were released and Vinny C. was jettisoned. That alone should account for 2 wins. Plus, who was the unquestioned LEADER of this team over the past few seasons? The "face" of the franchise? Yeah, I give up too. McNabb brings in much needed veteran leadership and the team is already responding. Don't know how it will translate onto the field but it certainly is a welcome change.

just say.. " i like our new schemes and w/ the addition of mcnabb hopefully that will help us get more wins inside the division"....something like that. when you're 4-12 and you tackle like a girl no need to say silly ass stuff. i'm glad he's confident but there's a difference between confidence and ignorance.

I will agree with you there but I'm tired of him running his mouth. He was Mr. Goody Goody when he got here, he got paid and then started bitching when the losses piled up. To me Hall is a front runner, when things are going good he's all smiles but when things are down he's pointing fingers when he's a huge part of the problem. Just do it on the field, I don't need any stupid ass quotes in April.
