What a shame. He was touring and to be here with SKYNYRD and .38 this summer. Not looking to good.

Hope he makes it. Wish him the best of luck.

What's the difference between a brain hemorrhage, a stroke, and an anueyrism?

If I have it right...a hemorrhage is when a vessel explodes. An aneurysm is when it's blocked. A stroke is what is caused by one of those events, when the brain isn't getting blood and starts to die.

hemorrage is basically bleeding, and when it happens in the brain there is no where for the blood to go and pressure builds up and that in turn can cause alot of problems since the brain is so sensitive.

my mom actually had almost the same thing happen to her about 11 years ago to the day it was actaully on april 20th, it was the same day as columbine. she had to have a ton of surgeries and had seizures for years afterwards. it really sucks and is very hard to see coming. if the pressure isn't "released" in time it can cause serious side effects and death. i hope he has a full recovery

I had an epidural hematoma which is caused by a blow to the head, but essentially the same out come - mass bleeding on the brain with no where for the blood to drain to. I was very lucky that I was able to get into surgery so quickly. Some people aren't as lucky. Its some scary stuff...

Aneurysm:
A localized, blood-filled dilation of a blood vessel or cardiac chamber caused by disease, such as arteriosclerosis, or weakening of the vessel or chamber wall. A ruptured aneurysm results in hemorrhage and is often fatal.

A person can have an aneurysm for years and be just fine its when they rupture they are deadly. When it breaks it is then a hemorrhage.

Stroke:
A sudden loss of brain function caused by a blockage or rupture of a blood vessel to the brain, characterized by loss of muscular control, diminution or loss of sensation or consciousness, dizziness, slurred speech, or other symptoms that vary with the extent and severity of the damage to the brain. Also called cerebral accident , cerebrovascular accident .
