OK, but you're gonna regret starting this conversation with me...

I have a collection of razors, but here are the ones in my usual rotation to use:

My favorite brush:

My favorite blades:

SHAVE SOAP:

or upgrade for about $4 to:

SHAVING CREAM MOOD INSTEAD OF SOAP?

$5 at Bath and Body Works...feels awesome. I use it for Travel. Same as Proraso vintage shave cream:

Finally, my go-to After Shave, wife loves it too. About $6 at any pharmacy. They make a Bay Rum that I like a lot too. It's a traditional barber shop favorite:

Up until a few years back I had several razors like that and use them with the shaving soap. Some how when we moved I never found them when unpacking. After reading this its reminded me to check those 3 to 4 boxes we never unpacked because your right they do give a better shave.

^ Somehow something always gets "lost" in a move especially when you use professional movers.

Damn, Buster. That stuff looks great. Maybe it's time for me to kick the Gillette Fusion to the curb and step my game up!
if you grow like you said you'll love it

I've used doubles a few times and it takes a bit, but it's really relaxing, love doing it before I go to bed.. you might need to do it in the morning though

You won't regret it.

Yeah, I even built a nice mahogany razor stand with a marble base for my shave bowl and added some gold leaf accents. :D

When I broke my arm, I had to shift "obsessions" as my wife calls them from weightlifting to something else. Wetshaving somehow happened.

It took me a few weeks to get the technique down where I could get a perfect shave without cuts, but it's amazing how superior old razors are to this new multi-blade garbage where they charge you a few bucks per cartridge. The best razors were made in the 50s and 60s. That black-handled adjustable one I posted is a 1970.

Bought a few razors off eBay, a few from Antique shops...they polish up amazingly with a Dremel and some MAAS Metal Polish. They look cool on my counter too.

Bonus - Talking the wife into letting me shave her legs. ;)

Rock and roll. For that reason alone I'm going to buy one. So the double edge blade, how does that work? Is one edge sharper than the other?

Sure, I bought mine at a Rite Aid pharmacy. I see them in every other pharmacy too: Walgreen's, CVS, etc.

They should be in the shaving section.

Glad I don't have to use it very often, it burns like hell.
