Check out this video
OTL: Repairing Ben Roethlisberger's Reputation - ESPN Video - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5133803)
Nice video....very eye opening. It is amazing how this kind of stuff happens but because the players are insulated and protected by the team and the league these kind of things get swept under the rug.
What amazed me most is the part where most of the bar/restaurant employees and management declined to be named or interviewed on camera but most them said Ben was arrogant and rude to employees and other patrons.
That Ben expected not only himself but his entire entourage to be comped free food and drink. This guys is a multi-millionaire and expects to be comped? What a ......douche bag.
I see now why the Steelers are considering trading him

i don't understand some people thinking the punishment was too harsh, or not understanding why there is a suspension when there is no conviction. there is one thing we know for sure from this incident, and that is that this douche bag who thinks can do what ever he wants tried to bang an underage drunk college student in a womens bathroom of a bar.
we are talking about a starting nfl qb and face of a franchise as well as a face of the nfl, and he tried to pull this crap off. how can you think he deserves anything less thn six games. the more and more that come out about him makes him come off as more and more of a d-bag.
hopefully this dumbass can get his crap together and not make an ass out of himself and the nfl, because if there is another incident i can easily see him getting suspended for close to a whole season.
i held my judgement until the facts came out(or atleast what we now know) and i actaully gave him the benifit of doubt at first, but now i just get the feeling like he is another jackass who has no respect for any other person much less some drunk random at a bar.

I think Ben is lucky to get suspended for only 4-6 games. One cop lost his job and the off-duty ones serving as Big Ben's bodyguards might lose their's.

While he is an effed up mofo I do see how it would be real easy to get that way. He was probably the star QB in HS getting all the girls and all the guys wanted to be his buddy. Then the same thing in college and Ben never had to work on social skills because he was getting a pass because he was the star QB. Now that he is in the real world he got his pass but his pass has finally expired. The people he is now asulting and insulting are older and know his behavor sucks and are over it. Pits should drop his ass and maybe then he might wake up and realize the world does not revolve around him and also learn how to treat people (esp. girls).

agree. doesn't excuse it and at 28 he should have figured it out and stopped being a fratboy meathed. but you're right, you could see how a guy like that is how he is. you'd think slamming your face into a car windshield and living and winning superbowls would wake him up to the fact that he's blessed and should appreciate it.
was hoping they'd trade him to Oakland for their #8 and CB Nmadi Asamogha (sp?). Pitt would have 2 impact 1st-rounders, plus much needed pass-D help. with Batch/Dixon/Leftwich and the right 2 picks in that first round, they could stay competitive while seeing if Dixon is the man, or finding their next qb in 2011.
The guy really does seem to be the definition of a first class douchebag.

His parents must be proud. Way to go! You get an A for raising an asshole and an F from society at large for not raising a good and decent human being.

What a piece of garbage he is. Even if the sexual alegations are not true...just the accounts of the way he treats people are disgusting.

His parents probably see him as the victim and their perfect little boy could never do anything like this. My dad would have seen through the crap and yank a knot in me but some parents refuse to and this is what you get.
