Best move I've seen the Front Office pull off in years.

We got a first round talent for a 5th. name one DE who is projected in that round that you would rather have. Playing for the Rams can have that affect on anyones career.

Its worth it but just seems weird STL would be willing to give that up like that.

It stinks a bit on their end. I mean they are only getting 30 picks higher in the 5th. What is their incentive? Its not like he is a big salary guy right now either.

Has anyone mentioned yet that Vinny would have given a third and a fourth for Carriker.

I'm sure they must have?

I was exadurating...then I looked...
We now have 16 folks on the squad that had played Dline....some are listed as LBs, some DT, some DE, some NT....Carriker is not on the roster yet...he is #16...the funny part is if we are going to a 3-4...we only have 3 starting slots for these 16 players...of course you may play as many as 2 at LB...but come on.

We have 5 slots on Oline...I like the move...I just wish we were pulling this off on the oline.

The Dline was its most successful in years last year, why fix what is broken and ignore the real problem....I guess we'll know in a few days what the plan is on oline...years of redskins frustration has made me a bit synical I guess.

Well the guys who are running the Rams now are not the same guys who were running the team when Carriker was drafted. He didn't fit into their plans

Things change and teams go in a different direction. What did the SKins give to get JC? And now they are ready to trade him for a pack of juicy fruit. Latest word he may be released.

I've said it before, but my guess is they are going to address the O-line aggressively during & immediately after the draft, when the teams who draft O-linemen then shed their existing older O-linemen.. And can anyone say Flozell...

Plus, hopefully McNabb makes our O-line look a little better. Okung will help too.

Did anyone out there seriously think that Shanahan was brought in here to "rebuild"?

Rebuilding doesn't exist in the NFL. That is a euphimism that teams like Buffalo and Tampa Bay use to say that they have given up and they are just going to collect TV revenue.

Looks like he has rebuilt the Redskins to me! He just skipped the 3 year plan in place of the 3 month plan.
