Both are wrong we still have a 5th
Ok then...
1st - Okung or Williams
2nd - McNabb
3rd - Jarmon
4th - QB Prospect a.k.a. Colt Brennan's replacement
5th - Adam Cariker
5th - A LB?
7th - The next Chris Horton
I just hung up with Vinnie. He tells me this deal will never fly. We'll need to toss in a first and third this year and a contingent 2nd for the next three years if he shows to voluntary mini-camps.
Oh yeah....and redo his contract with say.......50m or so guaranteed.......VINNIE......

Yeah, I would prefer the 4th round pick to be another lineman but I have the feeling that they'll use it on a QB. I guess I was confused because the Rams have a better draft position and swapping both 5th and 7th round picks seemed like we were being paid to move up in exchange for taking on Carikers contract.

Just to clarify so people don't end up looking foolish like I just did the pick from the Rams is the 32nd pick in the 5th round that's been passed around more then a street walker:
from St. Louis through New Orleans and Philadelphia

The best part about this deal is that Haslett coached Carriker and believes he has some talent. Otherwise they wouldn't have done the deal.

He has two years remaining on his rookie contract; he is due $1.07 million this season, $1.42 million in '11.

He doesn't even have a big contract to absorb. I just don't get why the Rams just gave him away. Guess they thought they owed Haslett something?

Combination of not wanting him and getting a chance to move up in the 5th round?

I don't see how they owe Haslett a thing. He should be happy he has a job this yr and if anything he should feel he owes Shanahan something.
But to your point.... Haslett was handed the 4th ranked defense. He has a hell of a lot of toys one defense. If anyone is owed anything it's the OL coach....and maybe the WR coach....T.O. lol. JK.

hell yeah!!!! I wanted this guy back in 2007. Hard worker that won't be under pressure to put up huge sack numbers in our 3-4.
Good. I know it's in vogue right now to try and trade down, but considering the possibility that we're going to see 4 tackles go in the top 10 i don't want to trade down. As i've said before i doubt we can find two players equal to who we would get at 4.
So right now the redskins draft looks like this:
1st - okung or williams
2nd - mcnabb
3rd - jarmon
4th - qb prospect
5th - adam cariker
7th - your guess is as good as mine.
Most people however see this
1st - okung or williams
4th - qb prospect
7th - your guess is as good as mine.

he means the Rams must have thought they owed him something
