The Redskins made thier bed and they have to live with the fact that Al is not going anywhere and they will have to pick Saturday. Time to not give away next years draft for picks this season. Time to pay the piper! As for Al he needs to come in and work hard. He real could have a great season with the Redskins. Also it shows team that might be willing to give value that he is a team player and not a problem child. You never know some one might need a DT as the season moves on like a team like the Skins when J.Taylor was traded for!

I just finished watching Mike Shanahan along with Rich Eisen on NFL network and he stated emphatically, Albert Haynesworth will not be traded. He mentioned the rumors that have been circulating, but Albert will be a Redskin this season.

Good to see this. The team should be focusing on the players they should trade, Rocky (who actually doesn't want to be here, and is getting a pass from fans) and Campbell (who needs to go somewhere else and get a second chance).

I'm sure JLC will continue with this bullshit story.

Trading Al for a 3rd rd. pick...........would be stupid! I personally think La Canfora just keeps spewing this info becuz of bad sources. Schefter comes with info that is legit so I will definitely believe him over La Canfora.

I think the next couple days will finally put a lid on the Albert Haynesworth trade talks. There are some, both media as well as fans who for some reason seem to just be obsessed with the idea of trading him regardless of how many reports come from within the organization to the contrary. Eventually (maybe) they'll come to the realization that it's not happening, and live with it.

its not like it was all just made up. smoot said a deal seemed very close. apparently, something must have fallen through. hence the denials from shanahan and the titans. but unless you want to call smoot a liar, there's no denying that we were trying to trade him to the titans. it just didnt work out.

Yes, but it's not like the team was desperate to do so as JLC insists it is.

when did jlc use the word desperate? and if shanahan or Tennessee were, do you think they'd ever publicly admit it?

He doesn't have to, Shanahan doesn't owe anything to someone like JLC. And actually it was Andy Pollin saying that the Redskins were desperate.

I would never call anyone a liar, but I'm more inclined to believe what comes from within the Redskins organization than I am any media source. If it's a liar, then Shanahan is the culprit and I don't think he wants to be preceived as being that. The debate will answer itself shortly.

Well unless the Redskins are willing to trade AH for a 3rd rounder (which would be RIDICULOUSLY stupid) this ain't happening. Another Redskins story that JLC doesn't break.
