Plenty of sources still convinced Albert Haynesworth is dealt today, most likely to Titans for a 3rd rd pick. More on NFL Network/NFL.com about 1 hour ago via web

Going into the 9th round, who will land the knockout punch!

actually this whole thing was fueled by the team actively shopping haynesworth for the past few weeks/months, even though many of you stuck your head in the sand and believed shanahans pawn schefter over everyone else. hopefully this thing gets done.

Hopefully it does not get done. I want AH on our team.
Shopping him is all good and fine. While I do not want the Skins to get rid of him, I am perfectly fine with trading him for fair trade value. Trading him for a 2nd and a 3rd is not fair trade value for a top 5 DT who can create sacks and collapse the pocket.
We have got to get out of this Vinny Cerratto/Dan Snyder mind set that we have to build our entire team through this one offseason. We need to be patient and build over time. Lets not give away future picks or give away value/commodities for less than its worth just because we have a boner to be in the 2nd and 3rd round.
Resist the immediate gratification.

They have not been actively shopping him. They have been actively listening. And now there are two or three teams that are in serious play for him. They have not been going around saying "please take this guy"

if you define actively shopping the way it sounds you are, then no NFL team ever actively shops anyone. i highly doubt any GM ever goes to another team and says, "please take this guy." teams have known for months we want to get rid of haynesworth. publicly denying it is the smartest way to actively shop him.

Just remember that at this time of year especially a lot of deals come very, very close to happening and then fall through at the last minute.

dream killer.

Haynesworth deal expected to come down Friday

NEW YORK — Team and league sources remain convinced that the Redskins will trade DT Albert Haynesworth on Friday, most likely to the Titans for a third-round draft pick.

Despite various denials from multiple teams, the sources said the Redskins are still shopping Haynesworth and have held recent conversations with the Lions, Titans and Vikings.

The Lions’ interest was quelled for good Thursday night after they drafted DT Ndamukong Suh No. 2 overall, but people within the Redskins’ organization still view the Vikings, who have fears about DT Pat Williams’ age and future, and the Titans, with whom Haynesworth spent his career before 2009, as potential landing spots.

The Redskins have hoped to receive more than a third-round pick for Haynesworth, but that has proven difficult, if not impossible. The Titans don’t have a second-round pick, though the Vikings have two.

Haynesworth would be ecstatic about a return to Tennessee, according to league sources, and would be willing to alter his contract to facilitate a deal. He isn’t interested in playing nose tackle in a 3-4 scheme, and that problem will not resolve itself.

The Redskins have accrued several veteran 3-4 linemen in recent weeks and are eager to accumulate a pick Friday, as they don’t pick again until the fourth round Saturday. Haynesworth is seen as their only real trading chip because shipping off Jason Campbell isn’t likely until after teams draft quarterbacks this weekend.

Several executives from other teams don’t anticipate the Redskins receiving more than the 77th overall pick for Haynesworth and also expect him to be traded Friday.

AH is still a Redskin. I don't think anyone will give us a 2nd round pick for his fat ass. I'm starting to believe he’ll be mopping around our sidelines again in 2010.

Maybe I exaggerated to make a point but still there are players that teams call other teams about, and there are players that teams receive calls about. Al is the latter situation
