Why not just give the locker and it's contents to his family and let them do with what they wish,then put up a tribute wall with art work and such for all to see.
I guess it takes a look from the outside to see clearly sometimes. Nice idea Giantone. I agree with this sort of thinking and see it as much more appropriate.

I believe, if I remember correctly, his actual family did not want it and said that the contents of his locker should stay with his football family (I don't know what they think of the latest move, but I'm sure they have bigger things to worry about)

I actually agree with you here for sure SS. I guess it really comes down to personal perspective and opinion as most things do. But, I still stand by my own feelings on this matter.
Some of us don't see it as a big deal some do. So since I'm not a ticket holder I guess it really doesn't matter either way for me personally as I also have bigger things to worry about. :)
