Sorry...It's the first link of the eight front page stories.

The titles are one and the same (sorry) The initial front page story title is mini-camp wrap...the actual story cover is redskins conclude first mini-camp. Regret the confusion. Thanks
CRedskinsRule 04-18-2010, 06:38 PM Shanahan said Albert Haynesworth is a key part of the Redskins plans and that there had been no mention of trading him or any other player since he's been here with the exclusion being Campbell.
Now I don't know just what to read into that, but it dosen't sound as though the intention is to trade him, unless one chooses to interpet that key part of their plans as being a trade.
Well, it sure seemed like the Skins have been listening to, and at some points up till now, actively seeking trades of various players. But I agree Shanahan's answers were pretty dismissive of potential trades. I don't know how to reconcile those two things other than to say Shanahan's comments were more so pre draft speak and proper team building comments.
Longtimefan 04-18-2010, 06:44 PM From the article:
The offensive line, which struggled last year even before injuries struck, will have a new look without left tackle Chris Samuels and right guard Randy Thomas (released) but Kyle Shanahan said he liked the group as it exists. Stephon Heyer lined up at left tackle and free agent Artis Hicks at right tackle in this go-round.
“You see size and you see speed,” Kyle Shanahan said. “You can’t ask for more.”
Oh yes you can, Kyle. You can ask for much, much more than this current group.
In the thread "pick our starters on the O-line" I had Hicks starting at RT, but Heyer at LT has me scratching my head.
SBXVII 04-18-2010, 07:18 PM Ok now I'm Fing confused. Please tell me how AH being offered in a trade in order to pick up McNabb constitutes AH is not being traded? It was confirmed by the Eagles.
Everyone get off your high horse and look at the facts.
I too saw a comment made by Mike Shanahan stating we was basically not calling teams and trying to see what they would give for him. In other words he is not trying to trade AH. BUT..... he also stated if the right trade scenario came along he would look into it to see if it benifited the Skins.
I know PFT is not the best news source, but they got their info from the Washington Post this time....

No different then PFT though, I agree someones telling a lie.
Hey, if you're gonna lie, you may as well lie big.

Shanahan calls Haynesworth trade talk "speculation" | ProFootballTalk.com (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/04/09/shanahan-calls-haynesworth-trade-talk-speculation/)
"There is nothing to clarify," Shanahan said. "It is just speculation. He's part of the organization. I am just looking for him to come in and work and be like everyone else. No, we're not going to trade him at all, unless someone gives us something we would have to consider -- that's pretty standard with any player on your roster. He's a pretty smart guy. He's really talented. I think I can get that out of him.''

The easiest way to spread rumors in the world of sports is "sources said" nobody knows who these sources are. When you want to drive a story of your own just make-up something/anything and say sources said it. Some people have a tendency to believe everything they read.
There has been a lot of eroneous reporting in the Haynesworth case.

AH was part of the very preliminary discussions with Philly back in February
GTripp0012 04-18-2010, 08:08 PM Redskins are putting out the word that they're taking a quarterback | ProFootballTalk.com (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/04/18/redskins-are-putting-out-the-word-that-theyre-taking-a-quarterback/)
Right now, I'm interpreting this as a message to McNabb's agent to "get that latest contract extension offer signed, or enjoy choosing between Oakland and Buffalo next year."
I do have a strong suspicion (actually, more than a personal suspicion) that this might be more than a bluff. At least that: the Redskins haven't decided against taking Jimmy Clausen with the 4th pick.
Certainly though, it's no more likely than on the day we made the McNabb trade. Surprisingly, it's just not less likely.
