He has a base salary of $550,000 and roster bonus of $764,625 for 2010. Not much for a starting QB. Giving him a 1 year extention for 12.25 mil is not exactly a ringing endorsement. Though it does show more confidence than JC was shown.

doesnt that violate the 30% rule?

Well Kolb's not much of a starting QB.:laughing- As far as JC is concerned I'm curious to see how Skins fans will react if he has a breakout season. I have never been a huge fan but I do hope he does have a great season. Oakland seems to really believe in him. It will be interesting to see how he does. Have a good night 53.

It must all be signing bonus - which is exempted, but also guaranteed. That would explain the 100 % guarantee on the contract.

do we even know if mcnabb and the skins are talking extension?

Technically a veteran can't have their contract renegotiated twice within a 12 month period (and McNabb just had his renegotiated with his extension last June). But I'm not entirely sure how that rule applies when a player changes teams

I just did some reading on the 30% rule and came away with the same conclusion.

interesting, so for now maybe we shouldnt expect to hear anything for another month or two about an extension. BTW, did the actor who played mr belvedere just die or are you just reminiscing about one of the greatest television programs of all time?

If Vinny had made the McNabb trade, everyone would have said, "Hey, that Cerrato is really a genius!" Plus he would have bought himself another5 years here. But Vinny would have given up next year's #1 pick as well, ala Joe Gibbs.

He died a while ago, and it was a highly underrated show with a phenomenal theme song. But that's not why

Google News Mr. Belvedere and that should give you a clue
