Why not Fred Davis for Gaither?

Let me get this right..this is the Fred Davis plummeted in the draft for poor work habits then SLEPT through his first practice. Im glad hes showing potential but he is entering his third season.
I will always hate that we drafted him right before desean jackson, who is a star.
No way at all that gaither gets cut.For that matter, Vinny also drafted Malcolm Kelly when Ray Rice was there for the taking. Consider that he had taken Devin Thomas and Fred Davis earlier in the round. Ray Rice would look pretty good in B&G today.

Gaither is a stoner. Not the worst thing in the world but for someone rumored to have two strikes against him I feel pretty good changing my mind about him.

No on Gaither. We're drafting Okung and trading some players for another pick or two. I think the best case scenario is packaging Cooley/JC together somehow because we'll get more than each could bring individually.

its funny that some of you are acting like trading cooley is a given:bs:

cooley and davis are untradable!

Ahhh now I understand the lack of aggression he displays ;)

The ravens had the highest ranked o-line in the NFL last year. That they would diminish it for a TE is highly unlikely.

Well the Ravens are looking to get rid of Gaither obviously, but they will most likely trade him for a pick rather than a player (for some reason people think this is the NBA where players are traded for players). Some times I feel these Gaither threads are just people finding ways for us to get a good lineman without using our first round pick.

Anyway, it sounds like Gaither is damaged enough that the Ravens are willing to part ways with him, I hope we stay away from him if this is the case. Let's just get Okung or Williams.

no no no we need to keep both of our tight ends to run 2 TE sets and what about an injury like last season? we need the depth

i would take okung over gaither anyways

Ahh, the all-important 2 TE sets. Every Super Bowl winner the last 10 years won because of their impossible to defend 2 TE sets;)

Personally, I like for a team to have two offensive tackles.
