Will Tony Romo, Kevin Kolb or Eli Manning be leading the NFC East's top team in 2010? Matt Mosley takes an early look.

Only difference is now we have a quarterback, and we did have a good team going into last season but had some injuries and lost a lot of tight games...Im thinking 8-8-11-5 range.

Hmmm, not sure if any of these guys would qualify as "key guys." The only one that comes close is perhaps Cartwright as a primary kick returner. How sad.
You're kidding, right?

I believe the first half of the season we may struggle with the adjustments to the new system/scheme. The second half should be better. Overall we're probably looking at 8-8 or 9-7. (with the obligatory "injury-free" caveat).
Looking at our schedule and making assumptions (we all know what happens when you ass-u-me):
Eagles - W & L
Cowboys - W & L
Giants - W & L
Colts - L
Bucs - W
Rams - W
Texans - ?
Bears - W
Packers - ?
Vikes - L
Lions - W
Jags - ?
Titans - ?
I expect McNabb to be in-line with his last three years:
3500-3600 yards / 22TD / 9INT / 61% comp / 2-3 TD rushingI agree with your conclusion that it's a 8-9 win team. This is provided they get a top level OT, otherwise, its a 5-6 win team that probably isn't quite as good as last year.

I'm still not sure how McNabb is "past his prime" Is it because of his age? Because when I look at his numbers the past couple of years I don't see a guy past his primeIf his prime was 15th-20th in the league, he's still in that range.
I do think his 2009 QB rating makes him look a LOT better than he really was this season. I think he played with more confidence and made better throws as the year went on, but that ended up being short lived with the two Dallas games at the end of the year. I thought Philadelphia would win both of those games, but McNabb didn't play his best, and it's my conclusion that Philadelphia is better off not tying it's fortunes to fluctuations in McNabb's passing performance.

Seems like almost everyone is excited about getting McNabb and I can't help wonder why everyone is so giddy given the 'Skins track-record of overpaying for big names some of whom are in their twilight years. What do you think the Skins record will be next year? McNabb's stats? Keep in mind McNabb is going to be learning a new system with a new coach and new teammates.
I say 8-8 with McNabb netting 3500 yards, 20 TDs, and 14 INTs. Don't get too excited and get your hopes up, they will inevitably be dashed.
Why are do fans try to predict how a team in April is going to finish the season? This just fans talking out their asses not knowing what the final roster is going to be and how injuries play out during the season. Predicting now is just BS.

maybe if we get FLOZELL
Why Flozell he was garbage last season. Why bring in a guy who is past his prime , might as well bring back Randy Thomas to.

Im still shocked that we aquired McNabb , but we also gave up our 2nd rd pick. We also will have to give up a 3rd or 4th rd next year draft. If McNabb doesnt play well then we got hosed. If he does play well than the Eagles get our 3rd pick next season. The Redskins still do not want to build in the draft which has haunted us for years. I like having McNabb but I would have been ok with JC this year with a better O-Line. Then draft a QB in the 2nd rd if McCoy was there. Im not predicting any records , I just hope this trade works out for the Redskins team and fans. Its to early to say if this will make us playoff contenders with the O-line not addressed.

To all the Redskins fans that are predicting 16-0 , you will be the same fans complaining on here if we dont do well. Lets get real we were 4-12 so if we go 8-8 thats positive people. Dont get your hopes up to high cause you may have a big let down.

Trading away the future should not come as a suprise. Despite Shanahan's denial of his construction being built to win now, he has pledged to add any player (s) that will help him win games. I actually look for more trades involving draft picks with the exception being any future #1's.
