I'm not going to post the video on here. Matty already told me no on the snuff films when I asked about the Canadian Snipers. If you want to see the video I can send you the link, wikileaks.

Anyway. These two Apache crews mistake two Reuters reporters for guerillas in Iraq. They think the cameras are weapons and light their asses up. Me, I'm inclinded not to give a damn. Yeah it really effing blows that those people were innocent and were just minding their business, but that's war. It's not effing checkers. Those Apache crews will come home in one piece. I do think we need to get the hell out of that country. It should've been done a long time ago.

I read about it, no interest in watching it. A van with kids in it got toasted too.

yeah i saw the video the other day. not really that brutal, thoo the voices of our armed forces arent all that sympathy inspiring . ."what a f'in prick" "light em up", "keep firing, keep firing"

the real interesting thing is how the video got leaked from the pentagon and now the pentagon saying they cant find the video.

this is probaly going to be an international viral sensation giving our haters real ammunition to fuel the fire.

The vid isn't too horrible to watch but I can understand not wanting to. I really don't know what to think.

I don't see why this is getting big news.

While it's extremely tragic, and unfortunate, it was an honest mistake. Nothing about the attack was careless. They were anxious to engage, but wouldn't you be after an attack on your fellow troops?

There was recently an attack in the area, the helicopters thought they were carrying RPG's, and engaged appropriately. It's incredibly sad, but I don't think they were being careless.

They looked like they were carrying guns. It was a mistake. It was tragic.

This literally happens everyday. War sucks.

Probably not the smartest thing in the world to be walking around in a war zone. These embedded journalists take a huge risk and this time, it bit them in the ass. You can't expect our guys to err on the side of "better not shoot because it might be a reporter" when they're taking hostile fire constantly and the threat of RPG attack is a real one. And from what I had read about the incident, the journalists were among some AK-47 toting insurgents, so it wasn't like they were at the cafe when the Apache opened fire.

War is rough, shit happens. Those guys in the van didn't have weapons and were clearly trying to take that guy to the hospital. Shooting at a van with children is a no-no and even worse not taking the kids to the American hospital which has better facilities is unconscionable. Karma is a bitch, so are IEDs...watch out for them.

I watched that video today while tying to get over my hang over and what the site says is total BS. If you look at when the guy is at the corner of the building you can clearly see that it is a hand held rocket launcher or what ever they use and not a camera. It comes around 4:06 in the tape and it is laying on the ground then he picks it up and points it at them. CLEAR AS DAY. Also watch as he raises it and how his elbow stick out like it would when they use a shoulder rocket launcher. If the news guys where hanging around them, then they took their life at risk. You can also see at around 3:47 guys in the upper right swinging around weapons. My guess is they wanted to act like guys just walking down the street but they where the bad guys.
