LOL. Yeah I met Riley when he was a freshman at UF (the last football season I lived in Gainesville). There was no shortage of ridiculously hot women at UF, and he could pretty much have his pick of any one of them. The punter at the time (Eric Wilbur), his girlfriend worked for me at our sports bar, and Riley came in there a few times with Eric. Seemed like a good dude from what limited interaction I had with him.
On a side note, I think he's a big time sleeper as far as WR's go. He's fast, definitely has the size (6-3, around 215), very strong hands, and blocks pretty well too. I believe he ran in the low 4-4's at the combine. He'd be a steal in the 4th round. I have no idea where he's projected though.
This is what we need more of. Write ups of real experiences people have had with players and coaches.

I'd love to see the Skins get TO. They won 4 games last year and need help at WR. It DM says its ok to bring him in then they should do it.

Riley is projected to go in the 4th round, maybe late 3rd.
I would not be surprised if Shanahan drafted Mike Williams, troubled receiver from Syracuse, in the 7th round. Shan is known to take gambles on skill players.
It's hard for me to envision them going Wr in this draft, except the 7th round, and only if a talented guy is there.
I don't see how they get out of this draft without getting 2 O-linemen, a ILB, and possibly a Safety.
They really don't have a Return guy yet, that needs to be addressed as well.
Buchanon may get some work at PR, but kickoffs are open it looks like. Could factor in decisions to draft a rb or wr for sure.

I don't care either way at this point whether they pick him up or not. I don't think the coach's are infatuated with our WR's but I'll agree I think it centers around Hixon. But the real issue is how long do they think it will take to get them up to speed? or if they are even able to get them up to speed. If the coaching staff is in the mind set of making a run at the playoffs and SB then we need help at that position. If they were in rebuild mode then I think we would be fine.

I dont want to hijack this thread but i dont think my musings warrent a new thread, so........
Do you think McNabb may have opened the door for Shawn Andrews?
As soon as he was cut i thought we should bring him in and take a look at him, so that's my basis for starting this. What amazes me is Kyle Shanahan saying he is "excited" about our o-line, but reports that the Shanahans see the WR corps as a weakness. I got to think McNabb is just as worried about the oline as he is his WR crops, if not more so (like the rest of us).
Does anyone know of any rumors or speculation about the Redskins and Shawn Andrews. This article also points out that the Redskins have been more than willing to take chances with players that are labeled "injury prone".

Perhaps Andrews will be the next signing that garners a lot of "low risk, high reward" comments?
I'm amazed that people are still hyped up over Kyle's coach-speak. What's he gonna say? Yeah we need help on the OL and tip their hand for the draft??
As far as the staff not liking our WRs, they haven't come out and said anything in regard to that.

Exactly! furthermore you can't blame the QB (JC) and the receivers. It is well known that a great QB makes good receivers. We now have a great QB. We will be just fine in this department IMO.
Again if we do go after T.O. or a WR of his caliber, it does not in any way suggest our current receivers are disliked. It simply means we want a "proven" Vet WR.

Caliber of T.O. = Drops more passes than anyone in the league.
We might as well line up Carlos Rogers at WR.

Yeah but always hurt has been the case with been Adamn Carriker, Ryan Torain, Roydell Williams, and Maake Kamoeatu. Plus you could make a pretty good case for McNabb being injury prone.
The Skins seem to be taking chances with guys who have been hurt and want to prove themsevles, which i am all for. I guess Andrews also has depression issues so that might raise a bigger red flag. Although i feel like his depression might be tied to his back injury issues.
