Didn't they just sign the guy from Carolina to play NT? Is AH's role even defined yet? I just don't understand why he's not on board. Kris Jenkins was a 4-3 DT, came to the Jets and didn't have a problem playing NT. I just think if he was a true team guy he'd do what ever they asked him to do.

He said that he would do just that skinsfan

I know that Shanahan wants him there but at least Al had a good excuse.. he needed more one-on-one and specialized assistance to get back into form. The guy last year said he wanted to be able to earn his contract and didn't feel like he was put into the right position to do it. He said he's not getting paid all of that money to not be more productive. Then this offseason he makes a commitment to return to form and says that he'll do what they ask of him. Mentioned DE would be a good fit since it's so similar to DT in the 4-3. Yet he's a fat, piece of shit, cancer that we need to get rid of people?

The guy saw our offseason program last year and probably wanted nothing of it. Of course that's different now but I'm sure that he already had things lined up for his training well before all of this.

If he shows up out of shape then it's an issue.

Haynesworth to report to the April 16-18 minicamp

Read something earlier that when someone called to ask him about trade to Philly potential he said "I got nothing for you man" and Speck also talked to them and said that they had no comment.

If Haynesworth reportedly has such a problem with the new regime, then how come he's not lashing out the way he did towards the end of the Zorn/Blache regime? He has nothing to lose, and all that would lead to is a trade.

I still haven't seen any credible source to say that there's such a rift. While they may not be buddies, I still think this whole "issue" has just been overblown by Florio and his buddy LaCanfora.

I think the Titans would like to get him back, the Skins have already paid the major bucks on his contract. This deal would be very fair:

Haynesworth to the Tennessee Titans for their 2010 #3 (77th overall) and their 2011 first round pick.

The below article has a interesting paragraph: "So what would it take to land perhaps the best defensive tackle in the league? I think a team such as the Titans could potentially get it done for a second- and fourth-round pick. That's how much Shanahan wants to get rid of Haynesworth. Pretty amazing stuff."

If they do this we would be getting ripped apart.

People quickly forget how much they bitched when the team made Orakpo play LB in our 4-3 D. Granted that he did a good job, but I'm sure he would have done a much better job as a 4-3 DE. I see a very similar situation here with Haynesworth, and I hope Shanahan doesn't trade him just because of this. I guess this would be one of those head-scratching moves some people were talking about.

According to The Warpath's favorite rumor mill website, PFT reports that at this point Haynesworth's contract is essentially 3 year, $16M, with $9M of that guaranteed.

At three years and $16 million, Haynesworth contract is now very tradeable | ProFootballTalk.com (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/04/06/at-three-years-and-16-million-haynesworth-contract-is-now-very-tradeable/)
