Haynesworth back to the Titans?SFREDSKIN 04-06-2010, 04:47 PM Redskins very unlikely to move Haynesworth - NFL - Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AlY6B0x9sidhT1A.CtPjfTM5nYcB?slug=jc-directsnap040610) NYCskinfan82 04-06-2010, 04:53 PM Who's going to put him on his back? Rabach??? Dam that, dont let Haynesworth go ANYWHERE....If we do get rid of him, we better dam well get a GREAT return. We better not trade that dude for no dam Adam Carriker....Haynesworth better retire as a Redskin. We shouldnt even be converting to a 3-4 anyway. Agree, make AH fit he's a BEAST. Imagine he's our right DE in a 3-4 WOW. NYCskinfan82 04-06-2010, 04:56 PM Haynesworth for a 1st and 2nd round pick, the equivalent value-wise, or better. If we did trade him that's the only way we should let him go and both picks have to be in the same draft. DCtoAZ 04-06-2010, 05:09 PM He will be a Redskin this year .. you don't pay a 21 million dollar bonus no matter who you are (The Danny) .. that is way to high of a bonus to just piss off to the side .. that being said if he is a cancer to us then good bye Albert I just don't see it happening freddyg12 04-06-2010, 05:11 PM If AH was traded now, unless someone paid the skins then he would have played 1 year for 32 mil! I think the only way anyone was going to take him before the $21 mil bonus was if he was packaged w/LL, JC, etc. but nobody was going to pay that bonus for him. REDSKINZ-RIDEORDIE 04-06-2010, 05:45 PM My attitude is if Donovan McNabb just stood at podium and declared he's a Redskin, any f*ckin thing can happen. Totally agree, it's not going to hit me until I see him coming out on opening day for us.....Even then I wont believe it until I see him throw his first pass..... Giantone 04-06-2010, 05:53 PM He will probably end up a Giant and destroy us everytime we play. .......................oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhellllllll l NO! Giantone 04-06-2010, 05:58 PM They just tried to trade him to the Eagles... what's stopping them from trading him to NY? Teams love his talent but dislike his work ethic. To answer your question AH ...is stopping AH from being traded. tryfuhl 04-06-2010, 06:01 PM Teams love his talent but dislike his work ethic. To answer your question AH ...is stopping AH from being traded. well it was his bonus now it depends SFREDSKIN 04-06-2010, 06:31 PM Now this from Jason Reid: Redskins actively seek to trade Albert Haynesworth Despite recently cutting one of the largest checks in NFL history to pay defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth's bonus, the Redskins are actively attempting to trade him before the April 22 draft, people familiar with the situation said Tuesday. Coach Mike Shanahan has instructed General Manager Bruce Allen to identify potential destinations for Haynesworth, to whom the Redskins paid a $21 million bonus on April 1, and the Redskins have talked with multiple teams about the eight-year veteran. The Redskins did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans - whom Haynesworth left to join the Redskins before the 2009 season for $41 million guaranteed - are among the teams that could be interested in acquiring Haynesworth. In his first season in Washington last season, Haynesworth was slowed by injuries and not in top physical condition. During their pursuit of quarterback Donovan McNabb, the Redskins included Haynesworth in trade talks with the Philadelphia Eagles. Washington acquired McNabb for a second-round pick this season and either a third- or fourth-round pick, based on McNabb's performance during this season, in the 2011 draft. Shanahan's desire to excise Haynesworth from the roster stems from Haynesworth's reluctance to play nose tackle in the Redskins' new 3-4 scheme and his decision to train individually instead of participating in the voluntary offseason conditioning program at Redskins Park. Although Haynesworth only appeared in 12 games last season, he participated in the second-highest total of plays among Redskins defensive linemen. In the first 14 months of his contract, Haynesworth has been paid $32 million. Under the terms of his contract, Haynesworth is guaranteed another $9 million. |
