well it would be a shame if Colt didn't get a chance. Especially the way he came out preseason. Thanks to FO wasting there time with JC we may never know what CB could have been for us.

2nd string is going to be very important because the chances of DM going 16 games is Very Doubtful. So we are still looking at a potential QB crisis at some point.

Everyones starting to get excited about DM but were not out of the woods yet. They better get this right.Grossman knows the K. Shanahan offense and has been a SB QB. Far better back-up situation than we've had in say....5 years.

And Brennan had his shot, he got outplayed by Chase Daniel last pre-season.

Well, really, the ONLY question on my mind is whether PJ15 will go into the Hall of Fame as a Redskin. Seriously, very important!LOL. I hope PJ15 never even holds a clipboard for us.....but you never know with that COOOOOL visor and spandex in the summer he may just make it.

I agree with your first statement.

Brennan was outplayed, but i feel that that was because of his well documented hip and hamstring injury....

psht we still have Ramsey and others.. even Tupa!

granted they all played in regular season games

I think he will be given a fair shot to make the roster. #2 and 3 QB will be spots where Shanahans emphasis on competition and keeping the best player will be in full effect. However at this point my moneys on Grossman.

I honestly would be surprised if Brennan gets cut. There are just way too many other needs to pick a QB before the 6th, unless there was a guy they were just in love with that somehow slipped from a third round prospect to the 5th or later. And since you got a good chance of putting most picks after the 6th on the practice squad without losing them to another team, so a late round "project" pick or UDFA would likely go there.

I think there is a chance Brennan gets traded if the Shannys dont think he will ever be a starter for our team, but only if someone is willing to give us something which i dont think is too likely.

I also dont think Brennan has a chance to overstep Rex unless McNabb goes down and Rex comes in and sucks it up. I dont think there is ever a big line between the 2nd and 3rd qb. Its just which one do you pay more, was once a starter ealier in his career, or may be marginally better is the 2nd. And the 3rd is the one that needs to be ready incase the 2nd turns out to suck it up or get hurt because hes not used to doing shit.

Plus since McNabb is our QB for a few more years there is no immenant need to draft a 2nd, 3rd or 4th round QB right now, next year will be just as good. Although we are already missing out 3rd or 4th next year....

Shanahan is going to want to draft his own project QB. I'm certain we'll acquire more picks before the draft, but if we just go through the draft with the picks we have, we'll probably spend our 4th or 5th round pick on a QB. If we acquire more picks, I think its possible we select one earlier.

Just tell your cousin Sage to submit his resume.
