Cute. Pointless, but cute.
How bout this one, "He who does not learn from the past is doomed to repeat it." People tell me not to re-hash the past but that's exactly what our new management is doing! The Shan-man turn McNabb into the next Elway and Allen wants to be like George and create his own 'Over The Hill Gang'.
Seems that I'm not the onlyone looking back. We're looking forward too. I'm just looking forward in less rosey glasses. Look, I don't care if they somehow snagged Peyton Manning and reeled in Adam Vinetari, until our offensive line is repared, i'm not gonna be happy, ESPECIALY with an injury prone QB like McNabb. The biggest improvement he'll have is the running game, but he's getting a downgrade in o-line and receivers.
You do the math: Older QB (injury Prone) + crappy line + crappy backup = ???
dgack 04-07-2010, 07:13 PM Yeah, everyone is treating Jason Campbell like a fucking newborn little CHIA pet. The guy is an underachieving, soft spoken little girl who cant get it done. Enough with the sentiment. Who cares about his feelings. All this "We should respect him more" and "JC, thanks for the memories" shit is making me sick. What memories? The memory that when he finally got hurt at the end of the year a couple years back, and got replaced, we made a run to the playoffs without him? Bye JC, dont let the door hit you on your "butt" on the way out.
You know how they say pets start to look like their owners after a while? Turns out that fans start to take on the qualities of their team's owner, too. Bravo, Captain Douchebag, bravo.

We can't get starting young guys just through the draft and in case you haven't noticed, quality guys that are 25 and available are few and far between.
Every team signs veterans man. We didn't just lock up these guys for 4-7 years like we have in the past and committed our future to them. We offered up some short contracts and cut a lot of dead weight, something that we haven't been doing recently.
If you can't see the difference then that's your own fault.
tryfuhl 04-07-2010, 07:18 PM I think he's hung up on the fact nobody called JC to tell him we were trading for Donovan. JC got his feelings hurt again.
Hey Andy.. hold up man.. hold up. I need to get Jason on the other line here, how bout I just call you back in 20?

The last lineman we drafted is just now retiring after so many probowls it isn't funny. What we needed to draft most is our O-Line. Of the 3 best, with the choice at the #4 and #37 draft spots and as many great QBs and teams in need of them, I'm sure our chances were better than with jsut the one spot. You think we have a better chance WITHOUT the second round pick?
I hope we can get a 2nd rounder for JC somehow...
as for "Every team signs veterans", I guess you see youth in our backfield huh? CP, LJ, and FWP i'm sure will make up the oldest HB trio this season. (lol, FWP! I wonder if the F part is still accurate)
The corner we picked up from the Lions ain't no spring chicken either. He's my age, older than any of the other CBs. Kemoeatu is 31 too, not old for a NT, but 8 years in the front line is no walk in the park. Then there's McNabb and his injuries. Grossman, Ryan, Hicks... I don't think we've signed anyone under 30 but Willie Parker!?!!
The part that kills me is that if/WHEN McNabb gets hurt, next up to bat is a guy who's best season is worse than Jason campbell's WORST season, who has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns, and isn't as mobile. A pocket QB with no pocket... Hmm...

I take it you're a glass half empty kinda guy. Am I right?

The Shan-man turn McNabb into the next Elway and Allen wants to be like George and create his own 'Over The Hill Gang'. If Shanahan turns McNabb into the next Elway (two SBs) and Allen creates an "Over the Hill Gang" that reaches the SB, I would say they learned from the past pretty well.

Campbell missed 3 games in the last 3 years is he injury prone too?
You do the math: Older QB (injury Prone) + crappy line + crappy backup = ???How about this equation: Experienced QB (playoffs & SB) + Let's wait until training camp opens and see who's here before we throw out "crappy line" + QB who knows the new system / fans who need to get a clue = Relax it's not even draft time yet and we made a major improvement to the most important position on the field for a 2nd rounder and a conditional 3/4th.

He's a nice guy. He didn't get it done. Move on.
