Wild RT @RickMaese QBs at Redskins Park today: Donovan McNabb, Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy. QBs at home today: Jason Campbell
JC is laying low, Shanahan is supposed to address his situation today at the presser
BigHairedAristocrat 04-06-2010, 11:42 AM I wonder why we didn't cancel Bradford and McCoy's visit.

Just gave Jason Campbell a quick call. Not surprisingly, his cell phone is off. Didn't even ring before going to voicemail. 6:57 PM Apr 4th via OpenBeak
I still feel badly for Campbell. Must be a tough time for him...
I feel badly for him too, and I really hope that the unlikely happens; he stays here.
What if Bradford is available at #4? Or maybe we somehow acquire a #2 and McCoy is available. Doesn't hurt to cover your bases and know what these guys are about, for now and for the future.

If Bradford is available at #4 by some miracle, a lot of teams will be lining up to trade with the Redskins. Since we have McNabb (man that sounds a bit weird), we should take advantage of this and recoup our picks through a trade down.

If you really care for him, you'll let him go
Seriously, I don't know what's to gain from him staying

true, but i would think we know enough about bradford that we dont need to waste one of our 30 visits on him. mccoy, i can kind of see bringing in, although i think the timing is somewhat strange - bring in two projected 1st round QBs on the day you introduce a future hall-of-fame QB as your new starter?
In my opinion, this franchise "did Jason Campbell wrong" with how they treated him since they drafted him. I'd just like to see McNabb be treated with the respect he deserves. Hopefully, we don't draft a QB in the first two rounds and use whatever picks we have on guys who can protect McNabb (and whomever eventually replaces him). Just my opinion though.

Barring an injury (again), you've got McNabb for at least 4, maybe 5 years. The FO knows that and are already working out a new contract.
We are now set at QB. No need to draft one now. What we need is O-line, and a new young RB to replace Portis, so they can trade him too....

i agree with you on McNabb being the guy for 4-5 years... but only if we protect him. If a great QB prospect comes out in 2011 and falls to us in the first round, then i'd be OK with us drafting him, but in my opinion we don't really need to seriously worry about looking for another QB until 2012 or 2013..
