McNabb a REDSKIN!

The main thing I hate about this deal is our draft. Every year we're the most inactive team on draft day. As it stands right now, this year will be no different.

Teams that consistently stay at the top of the league are the ones that stockpile the most draft picks. Still, McNabb is very likely going to be better than whoever our second round pick was going to be.

So, any truth to a trade of JC for a 2nd rounder? Buffalo perhaps...... My ideal situation would be a trade of JC for the 2nd rounder and a swap of picks with SF 4 for 17 and another 2nd rounder. Possible?

HA...further develop? Not.Odd perspective if you think McNabb is not too old to be effective.

I wonder how much Brett Favre and Kurt Warner being very productive late in their careers influenced this move. You have to think, McNabb is 33 years old. No, he's no spring chicken, but he has more than enough gas in the tank. If we can draft a top flight QB in the next year or two, make a playoff run in the meantime, this move was well worth it.

In the end I think Philly did a poor job on the communications end when trade rumors started to swirl a few weeks ago. The longer it dragged on, the viable options started to dwindle and they were in a PR pickle. There's no way in hell the Redskins were on the radar when this all started. I feel like we lucked up big time on this one.I doubt that someone working in the FO would just look at age of other QBs as a significant reason behind their decisions. I think it's all Shanahan believing he can make it work with McNabb, and there is evidence that he can boost a QB's performance. Even the illustrious Elway underwent a huge stat inflation under Shanahan. Jake Plummer, a 4000+ ydseason. Steve Young had a monstrous SB performance.

not sure if it's been posted but they said McNabb has talked to JC

told B. Mitch that it's great to be part of an organization that will do what it takes to win, looks forward to working with coach shanahan and crew and hail to the redskins

From McNabb via BMitch: "I'm happy to be a part of this great organization (A Redskin). A team that's willing to do whatever it takes to win. Hail to the Redskins."

Per Comcast: JC rumors to Buffalo, JAX, Oakland.
