How can you not be happy with this trade ... a 2nd rounder and a 3-4th next year and we will get that pick back by trading JC .. are you freaking kidding me ... SHANNY and ELWAY .. 2 SUPER BOWLS ????????? RING A BELL ??? JOHN ELWAY was 1 year older than McNabb when he took over ... then Elway had a superbowl mvp and oh yeah another title ... (espn) .... HAIL TO THE REDSKINS I WILL BE BACK IN FED EX FOR THE PHILLY GAME THIS YEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good lord, if we get a second round pick for Campbell I'll take that all day coming and going. That'd be the market rate.

Donovan will be the QB this year and for 4 - 6 years to come. NOw lets try to move 'los, JC, Carter and one of our TE's for some picks.
A motivated (PISSED OFF) Donavan McNabb!!!!!!!1

I don't see the down side really. We needed OL at #4. McNabb is a proven QB not a roll of the dice at #37 for someone whose value we wouldn't see until next year anyway. JC just got that much more valuable to the teams that did not land McNabb. We won't know how good a move this was until the draft, but we just got better bargaining chips and are better for the next few years no matter who we drafted in the second round.

And Campbell got a bunch of completions from screens and garbage time. More important to look at more detailed stats:
QB Rate - McNabb = 92.9, JC = 86.4
TD% (TDs / Pass Att) - McNabb = 5.0, JC = 3.9
INT % (INT / Pass Att) - McNabb = 2.3, JC = 3.0
Adjusted Net Yds per ATT (complicated) - McNabb = 6.9, JC = 5.6
McNabb - 5 Time Pro Bowler, JC.....
for a 1 year loaner with minimally better stats(my opinion only), we gave up the 37th pick and a 4th next year. McNabb is what he is, but what good does he do us when he goes to the Vikings, or whereever. In the end he will be a minor improvement over JC and we will have given up 2 useful picks. But what's done is done. C'est la guerre.

No doubt Sammy there is no comparison.. JC has never been a Franchise QB. DMcNabb is a future HOF.. (Hopefully SB champion also :) JC deserves another shot in another city. I bet we get a decent pick for him.Thinking that they won't limit the voting to just his fan club, but I could be mistaken.

Mike Shanahan is about as close to a QB developing god as there is in the current NFL. I'm predicting a huge ressurection of McNabb's career. No more Fat Andy and 5000+ passes a game. No more being forced to be a pocket passer all day. Bootlegs are a frequent feature in Shanny's O. McNabb maybe primarily a pocket passer now, but we know what his instincts are. O is from the same coaching tree. No idiot head coach AND D-coordinator revealing their ENTIRE POKER HANDS, if you get the metaphor, to the opponent. A workout regiment that is sure to improve the performance of even the scrubs on the team.
The mean is 8 wins, and the standard deviation is 2 wins, give or take.

So he'll be our QB until he's 38-40 years old? Umm, no.
