McNabb a REDSKIN!

Well, like I said in my analysis last night, there are no bonuses for the team that can collect the most mid-tier quarterbacks.

We had great QB depth in 2005, 2006, and 2007 as well, although those player pale in comparison to McNabb + Campbell. Now, I don't actually think Campbell will be here in 2010, but there's no incentive to release him if you don't get a trade offer to your liking.

The thing is that Campbell clearly has more value than McNabb going forward, that much is certain. But in the absence of sticking with Campbell beyond this year, which it was obvious that no one was planning on, that's not really relevant.

I know I'm going to hate myself for asking...but how so?

You're right. He'll never get injured here. We should already add on two games for the playoff games he'll get us to.

Never said he wouldn't get injured. However people kept on saying that Campbell put up comparable numbers and thats simply not true. It's like if I had two basketball players and with the same amount of points. One guys averages 25 ppg while the other averages around 17 ppg.

Basically McNabb is much better on a per game basis. He's certainly a better prospect then Schuab.

Don't underestimate the part where the Redskins might be stuck with McNabb beyond this year because they don't have the ammo to draft a quarterback in the first three rounds anymore.

Maybe if they can orchestrate a trade down...but there's no way I'd give up a shot at Okung, even to satisfy my Colt McCoy man-crush.

Makes D Halls comment a few days ago all the more interesting. Got give D Hall a little credit for the signing. :)

What'd he say?

Damn I forgot. We have a full roster of knuckle-headed QBs.

We also have Richard Bartel, but you'll probably start at QB before him

Mandatordy dodgeball practice? Really?

If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball.

It's as if you had a 19 PPG guy and an 18 PPG guy, but the 19 PPG guy (who had averaged 21 PPG for his career, perhaps) had an injury history (so the 18 PPG guy had more points scored) and a large contract, and you traded for him anyway. Reasoning being: the 18 PPG player just isn't cutting it.

Age issues aside, that's a poor solution to a perceived problem. And it would make you ask out loud if they really understood the problem to begin with.

I think he means that JC is younger, and was improving (stat wise) every year, plus not a lot of injury concerns...
