We'll have to agree to disagree in regard to injuries. Again they haven't been a major issue for him since his knee in 2006.
Is there a rookie in the 2nd that was going to give us the same impact as McNabb?
Why would he only be here one year?
Doesn't he have only one year left on his deal? If the Vikings gig was available in 2011, wouldn't you take it??
Yeah it cracks me up I'm totally new here and I've already gotten into 2 disagreements with the administrator. Gotta give me props for not coming in and just kissing up though :)
I live in DE and listen to a lot of Philly sports radio (I'm a Phillies/76ers fan)... and a lot of the complaints in Philly are that after 2 injury plagued seasons in a row, he started playing safe and lost his edge that would win more games. I dunno man.

I hope Kolb gets hurt. Then the Eagles are really screwed. All of their amazing QB depth is totally gone. Michael Vick is garbage.

I love it! I really wanted Clausen, so I've lost out on that, but McNabb instantly makes us a contender!

Thank christ...we gave up the second and a third or fourth next year, pretty fair for both involved. I am just thanking our lucky stars we didn't send this years 1 and next years 1 or something like what Vinny would have proposed.

His best buddy T.O. is still out there. Might as well pick him up too if we are trying to make a run at it this year. They are friends again.

But I guess we can all root for a lockout to save us from ourselves.

Several current players have been shopped around for weeks now. I'm not sure the trade changed that much.
Well, I think losing our 2nd rounder increases the urgency to acquire more picks in this year's draft. Drafting McNabb as a 2 or 3 year band-aid doesn't change our need for a QB of the future, and we still need plenty of help in other areas.
I forsee any combination of the following players traded: Carlos Rogers, Jason Campbell, Laron Landry, and Chris Cooley.

I don't get the logic of some not wanting to bring McNabb here, but wanting us to draft a rookie that wouldn't have an impact doesn't make sense to me.
The fact remains, there will be quarterbacks available in the draft from now until eternity.
Thats a great point. Some people just will complain no matter what. I am not for or against it. Just take a wait and see approach. But I tell you this, I'll take McNabb over EVERY QB in the draft this season.

This is a better trade than Cutler because we didn't pay the ridiculous compensation for the player.
But the principle mistake of assuming that the grass is always greener on the other side hasn't changed.
Still, landing a top offensive tackle at No. 4 can make our offense greatly improved no matter who is behind center (McNabb, Campbell doesn't really matter).
Where this trade is a killer is in future seasons when McNabb simply isn't good enough to be an NFL quarterback, but we give him a Delhomme type extension. The 2010 Redskins probably aren't any better or worse off, the 2011-2013 Redskins are a LOT worse off now than they were yesterday.
even if we draft a good QB next year? You think McNabb is only good for one more season?
