Stinking threads going 200 mph k3Gu70xY6r0 12thMan 04-04-2010, 09:13 PM Yeah, Sanchez didn't have an impact. Stafford didn't have an impact. Eli didn't have an impact his first year. So on and so forth. I don't know how you measure Stafford's impact, but I'm going with wins. And Sanchez had the best defense in the NFL, still he had a very uneven season. Look, I don't want to take anything away from those guys, but when you look at the QBs coming into this league on the whole, those you cited are the exception, not the rule. CRedskinsRule 04-04-2010, 09:14 PM Interesting theory I think Mechanix had on using McNabb to move to #1 to get Bradford. Don't see it happening though. Major props to Jay Glazer for being on top of this. He's one of the best in the biz. I shouldn't have doubted him. I don't know yet how I feel about this. I have a great deal of respect for McNabb, but I'm concerned that this could mean good-bye for Sexy Rexy! Seriously though, I think McNabb has two to three strong years left in him. And hopefully here he'll get the run support he didn't get in Philly. I gotta think they're still looking at a QB toward the later rounds though. I'm not usually too surprised by moves the Redskins make since I generally get a heads up on things that are brewing. I would say, with very little hesitation, that I have never been as surprised about a Redskins move in the last 10 years as this one. So, do we like this better than getting Cutler last year? In that context yes I guess. GTripp0012 04-04-2010, 09:14 PM Interesting theory I think Mechanix had on using McNabb to move to #1 to get Bradford. Don't see it happening though. So, do we like this better than getting Cutler last year? This is a better trade than Cutler because we didn't pay the ridiculous compensation for the player. But the principle mistake of assuming that the grass is always greener on the other side hasn't changed. Still, landing a top offensive tackle at No. 4 can make our offense greatly improved no matter who is behind center (McNabb, Campbell doesn't really matter). Where this trade is a killer is in future seasons when McNabb simply isn't good enough to be an NFL quarterback, but we give him a Delhomme type extension. The 2010 Redskins probably aren't any better or worse off, the 2011-2013 Redskins are a LOT worse off now than they were yesterday. tryfuhl 04-04-2010, 09:14 PM Why would ANY team give us anything major for Campbell now. Maybe before we could say oh, we will just keep him. Now, if we don't trade him... wow, :vomit: Yeah that's why I posted that I figured that we had to have a deal pretty much in place or we were stuck.. unless some team misses their first couple of QB options in the draft CultBrennan59 04-04-2010, 09:14 PM I see us drafting Okung now, OR trading down and getting more picks as well as Charles Brown. I also think that we DON'T Draft a QB this year, But next year. Dirtbag59 04-04-2010, 09:15 PM Sad face, no one will appreciate the McNabb video :( Ruhskins 04-04-2010, 09:16 PM I see us drafting Okung now, OR trading down and getting more picks as well as Charles Brown. I also think that we DON'T Draft a QB this year, But next year. No, we'll draft a QB and Colt Brennan will be gone. SmootSmack 04-04-2010, 09:16 PM I must say this is very reminiscent of a Snyder move. Giving up a high draft pick for a big name vet past his prime. McNabb notoriously underthrows receivers and can't create with his feet anymore. In fact I'd argue that JC is more mobile that DM right now. Unless that line gets a ton better, we've come nowhere with this. I wonder what all the lovers would be saying if it was Cerrato who made this same move? I'm still undecided, but I'm leaning towards not really liking this, especially since we'll probably give him a lucrative extension as well. With this move, I now forsee at least a few current players traded before the draft. Several current players have been shopped around for weeks now. I'm not sure the trade changed that much. tryfuhl 04-04-2010, 09:17 PM Interesting theory I think Mechanix had on using McNabb to move to #1 to get Bradford. Don't see it happening though.
