McNabb a REDSKIN!

I must say this is very reminiscent of a Snyder move. Giving up a high draft pick for a big name vet past his prime.

McNabb notoriously underthrows receivers and can't create with his feet anymore. In fact I'd argue that JC is more mobile that DM right now. Unless that line gets a ton better, we've come nowhere with this. I wonder what all the lovers would be saying if it was Cerrato who made this same move?

I'm still undecided, but I'm leaning towards not really liking this, especially since we'll probably give him a lucrative extension as well. With this move, I now forsee at least a few current players traded before the draft.

Well a Snyder/Cerrato would have been us giving up our first rounder.

In 2009 DVOA, Romo was 7th, Eli was 11th, Kolb (who barely qualified) was 16th, and McNabb was 20th. Campbell was 25th.

We could argue all day whether McNabb or Kolb is the better 2010 QB, but the team that had them both thinks Kolb is. We think McNabb is.
We may think that Kolb is as well, but if they're enamored then it probably isn't worth us giving it up. Plus we probably want a veteran to lead us into the next "era"

People put value on potential play.. we've seen it before.. kind of like Favre/Rodgers just because of different reasons

hmmm wonder if we are cosidering trading him to the Rams and work a deal for the #1 pick? could this be a possiblility

This is what I actually think is going to happen. Everyone is getting their panties in a bunch about now having him but the Rams were interested also. They just couldn't get the job done. We send McNabb and our 4th round pick and I bet we get the #1 overall.

Trade JC for a #2 and were right back in it with an OL.

I don't know maybe it's just me.

I would love it, but at this point that would almost never happen. If we wanted to swing a trade with the Rams and take Bradford, we definitely have the resources to have done that otherwise. I see now why we have brought in all of those veteran RB's.

This has backfire written all over it. Stupid move.

Well, weren't you one of the people that hated JC no matter what?

And for all the pundits out there fawning over Kolb, he's thrown a grand total of 130 passes. The relevant question though is how many passes MORE will he throw compared to McNabb.

If McNabb lasts longer here than Kolb does in Philly, we probably end up winning this trade. In all other scenarios, we probably lose it.

The gamble is that we can get better production from the 33.5 year old than they can get from their 26.5 year old. It's a gamble that we'll lose most of the time. But you only have to win it once, I suppose.

So JC is headed to Buffalo? That's still being mentioned on ESPNRADIO

Why would ANY team give us anything major for Campbell now. Maybe before we could say oh, we will just keep him. Now, if we don't trade him... wow,

:vomit:

I don't get the logic of some not wanting to bring McNabb here, but wanting us to draft a rookie that wouldn't have an impact doesn't make sense to me.

The fact remains, there will be quarterbacks available in the draft from now until eternity.
