Buying Stuff On LineMTK 04-01-2010, 12:08 PM We need some pics of FD filling out a giant check and handing it over to an employee lol firstdown 04-01-2010, 12:16 PM Just think of the Tiger Woods comercial when he ask the clerk do you accept checks and he holds up one of those big checks. tryfuhl 04-01-2010, 12:25 PM lol.. one time a customer of mine at a store that I worked at did the same thing when ordering checks.. the machine didn't want to read it, had to do the whole manual thing, what a pain mredskins 04-01-2010, 12:27 PM Custom Oversized Checks, Custom Large checks, Presentation checks,Novelty Checks, Charity Checks (http://www.signazon.com/oversized-checks.aspx) Not really. I love to buy one of these to celebrate my parents B-Day gift to me each year. They always send a card with $20 in it. I like to take a picture of me holding a giant check written out for $20 and send it to the rest of my family as a joke. Why they send me $20 is beyond me...I am 36 have a career etc...just a card will do. tryfuhl 04-01-2010, 12:27 PM are these just for payroll or all business expenses? firstdown 04-01-2010, 12:31 PM are these just for payroll or all business expenses? For everything but I only write a few checks a month. I pay all my bills by credit card then just write one check to the credit card co. So I guess I write 5 to 6 checks a month. ArtMonkDrillz 04-01-2010, 12:34 PM I made a similar mistake the first time I bought something online. Back in college I went to buy my dad a birthday present. He has UMD football season tickets and loves to tailgate so I thought I wanted to get him one of those tin buckets that you keep beer and ice in, like this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/515IYVKWEOL._SL500_.jpg But what I actually paid like $30 dollars for (and this was when I was a broke college student so that was a TON of money) was a metal version of this: http://images.footballfanatics.com/productImages/_165000/FF_165282_s.jpg The lesson: read the description. And don't drink and online shop. firstdown 04-01-2010, 12:48 PM I buy alot of stuff on line just didn't think of checking the size descrition for checks. Now I bet they want $89 for a binder to hold these checks. hooskins 04-01-2010, 01:04 PM sometimes when i try to save a ton of money for clothes shopping, i will get an odd size etc. Usually just retrun it. saden1 04-01-2010, 01:13 PM Never had a bad experience buying stuff online and I have been doing it since 1998. I always buy from reputable storefronts and read the fine prints. |
